August 2016[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Calidoscopio, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 11:53, 7 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Fly Down requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a specific animal, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Proposed deletion of Charlie Bullware[edit]

The article Charlie Bullware has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not appear to have met WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —UY Scuti Talk 13:17, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of administrators' noticeboard discussion[edit]

Hello, I wanted to let you know there's a discussion at the administrators' noticeboard at which your editing has been brought up. You're not in trouble, but you've been making some newbie mistakes. As some advice, before you create any more articles, you'll need to review our policies on reliable references and neutrality. To make sure our articles stay neutral, we require that article content be from high-quality sources, and never just an editor's personal opinion. As an example, from Midnight (horse): "All though some rumors say that he was rode at some point in the 1930s, these accusations are not true." There were rumors according to whom? How were they determined not to be true? If it's just your opinion that they weren't, but no one really knows, then the article should just say that no one knows. It also contradicts itself, saying that he continued working until 1933. Also, neutrality of tone is important. For example, from the Midnight article again: "...bucking of riders left and right...", "...world best cowboys ever at the time got throne...", and so on. It's "off", "world's", and "thrown", but aside from that, that isn't a neutral tone. It reads more like a fan piece, and we don't allow that in articles. "No!!!!!!!"...we don't generally use exclamation points in articles, and we certainly don't use six of them. We just state facts.

The discussion can be found here. You're welcome to participate, and you probably should. It's great you have an interest in contributing, but probably best to slow it down a bit and learn your way around before creating a bunch of articles other editors are going to have to do a lot of work cleaning up. Feel free to ping me on my talk page if you've got any questions. Seraphimblade Talk to me 21:21, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

October 2016[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Planet (horse), disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Montanabw(talk) 21:24, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Creating racehorse articles[edit]

Hey there, just a polite request that when you create articles on racehorses, (Such as Connect (horse)) can you please tag them for WikiProject horse racing on the talkpage and also please put in {{Infobox racehorse}} with as many parameters completed as possible? A pedigree is nice too, though the syntax to create those can be a big tricky. Thanks! Montanabw(talk) 07:12, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
