This section was originally a section of my Talk page that I entitled A troll in Étincelle's name, until it took up too much room and deserved a subpage of its own.

Round 1

I have taken the time to read the arguments you have had with Etincelle (In the Archive 3 page). This is necessary in order for someone to understand and eventually defeat the oppressor. Your inflexibility and closed mindedness has already become legendary. I believe that you fail to see what is truly happening here, and eventually this will be your undoing. Anyone being of sound mind can understand that tyranny, by design cannot survive. You, saxifrage and those like you who cling to outdated notions of opinion being justified by the majority will therefore become victims of the very same philosophy you claim to uphold and defend. The justification of slavery was once the opinion of the majority, and now their immoral opinion has permanently changed the way history looks at them and so this will eventually happen to you. Anyone who has stained another man's blood will have his blood stained, and anyone who has slapped a face will have their face slapped.

Doomination is a condition in which tyranny causes death and destruction to another nation. Whether there is one or ten, the result is the same. Thousands have come and gone with nothing to leave behind except stones bearing the historical records - mere evidence of their lives but no absolute truth. Thus, where absolute truth does not exist and a power vacuum remains, we have people like you... I do not travel through time. I exist outside linear time. While I write this reply to your message, I remember that I have seen myself doing this before. Time is an invention of human perception. I saw what you will do and I see what you have done. You still do not understand the situation that you are about to place yourself in. You and those like you will be replaced. You keep forgetting to sign your posts. It's almost as if you're completely clueless about the medium that you use. Good thing your knowledge of behaviour, motivation, social systems, and history are entirely different and are perfect and flawless!

I don't aspire to any of that crap and I think you failed to read the primary texts that my conversation with Étincelle were in reference to—his aim was to make policy less flexible, not more. If no consensus can be obtained to change the policy despite an environment that does not suppress opinions, this is excellent. It proves that there is a meaningful support from the community for the policy. Otherwise, it only proves that a group of editors, perhaps a majority but maybe not, is afraid that eventually there will be a consensus against their view. Even if it was a large majority, such a majority should not feel the need to suppress the opinions of a minority, as if they were afraid that these opinions could gain in popularity. Proposing an interpretation of policies and guidelines to support a suppression of opinions from a policy talk page, would not make it right. The policy talk page is the natural place to express an opinion that is specifically about the policy. You can require that at some point we also express this opinion to a larger group in the Village pump. And, yes, you obviously-underschooled overbeing, using onomatopœic phrases like "uh huh" is entirely consistent with a grasp of proper punctuation and use of diacritics. And, for your edification, since you obviously need it so much, "O" is spelled perfectly correctly—the "oh" spelling is a degenerate hypercorrection of the form properly used in an apostrophe. The fact that you're using an open proxy to anonymise yourself was obvious from the beginning, since my traces on you always returned random results. That's too bad, because I would have liked to show you the block you live on in a satellite map, but, alas, the internet is all growed up and these day any idiot can use an anoymiser even if they don't understand what the "form" they're using actually does. (I mean, really, Sollog could do it, and he's a social and technological buffoon.) Although, I'd recommend finding a new "form", because the one you've got is obviously suffering some kind of partial resource failure: four out of the last five comments you've made have all come from Metconnect's /16 address pool, which does narrow you down somewhat.

Tracing the IP of an anonymous internet troll is the first thing anyone competent does, and your assuming it has some eldritch meaning just emphasises your lack of familiarity with the basics of this game. Have you ever heard of Chinese Water Torture?

It seems stupid and insignificant at first, and you don't think it will hurt you. Then, after a long time, it feels like a hammer hitting you on your head. In caves, it takes a very long time for water to drill a hole into a rock but it happens eventually. I have all of eternity to complete my task. Even if I have to wait until you die of old age, I will win. If it takes decades then it will take decades, but I will be the victor and to the victor goes the spoils.

Idiots like you like to talk and talk. You think that you know everything until something happens that will make you feel you really knew nothing. Let me tell you something. I have not been turning up the volume. I debate according to the strength of my opponents, and so far you have been very weak. I am just getting started. Here is the problem with what you are asking of me. It is your inflexibility that makes new arguments moot. If you had an open mind, then maybe new arguments would work with you. Besides, the sheer amount of people who keep telling you that you are wrong should be enough new arguments to prove that Etincelle and I are right about you. The vandalism can continue with such frequency that you will have a hard time putting everything back again, that is what my army is for. That is yet another among infinite levels to go. You try to use technical things to prove my arguments technically incorrect, yet you call me a "troll" when trolls are creatures based on myth and not reality. But since you have defined such parameters on me, then I can say that I am the embodiment of all trolls and all trolls are what I am, so technically that makes me correct and you technically incorrect.
