Proposed deletion of Sathya Prakash[edit]

Your problematic editing[edit]

I can understand that you are requesting deletion of Sathya Prakash being the author of the article. But now you cannot do so because other editors have contributed to the article too. Forgot to put name asked me about this, as an administrator. You could make a case that all the substantial work on this article so far has been done by you, but I am reluctant to delete it, because deletion should always be a last resort. It seemed that you wanted the article deleted because various IPs were editing it. That is quite normal, one of the prices we pay for making Wikipedia open to anyone is that there is a steady low-level flow of unhelpful edits. If it gets bad, you can ask at WP:RFPP for the page to be "semi-protected" so that IPs and new accounts cannot edit it, but we are reluctant to do that unless there is a problem. Otherwise, what you can do about vandalism (apart from reverting unhelpful changes) is described at WP:Vandalism. Bear in mind, though, that although you have done most of the work on this article so far, nobody "owns" a Wikipedia article, other people may have constructive ideas about how to develop it. Generally, the way Wikipedia works is described at WP:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle, and that is worth reading. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 23:09, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
