Hi, thanks for the edits on Martin Brest. I said this in an edit summary, but I wanted to let you know directly that I still don't think we should say he is "active" based on the IMDB Pro listing, even if The Gospel of Jack project is in active development. WP:CITINGIMDB gives very narrow parameters for when we can use that site to source material (because it is mostly user-submitted and has no consistent editorial oversight), and one of the disallowed uses is for "Cast lists, etc. for films and television programming that are still in development or production, and have yet to premiere".
So I switched "years active" back to 1979–2003, as no reliable source has reported on the project with him attached to it. (And even if they do, I think this is a case where "years active" should be formatted in separate sections, like "1979–2003, 2023–present" or something because that gap has become something that other sources have reported on about him, and he seems to have been completely inactive in the interim).--Sunshineisles2 (talk) 02:32, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
