If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Björn Kuipers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Mrmewe (talk) 04:51, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

The article Carlos Velasco Carballo has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. joe deckertalk to me 03:02, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on SEARA Alimentos requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Removing Speedy at SEARA Alimentos

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from SEARA Alimentos, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 05:29, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

This is your last warning; the next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at SEARA Alimentos, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 05:30, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

Reported to AIV

Hi Scoelho86, this is a notice to let you know that I have reported the issue of you removing speedy deletion templates to administrators. Templates:Fb2 4, 5 and 6

Hi, I see you change existing templates about positions by round used in La Liga, you may think first at all that the changes in Templates are involving in all articles that is being used, so if you change the templates of positions 4, 5 and 6 for the correspondent colours for Serie A, in La Liga the positions 4, 5 and looks like Serie A positions. You may use other templates or making without templates like I made in Segunda División last seasons. You can use examples I made in the past: the example of the 2011–12 Segunda División (which colour of position is variable if a reserve team occupies promotion positions) or make new templates, an example such as 1998–99 La Liga. I can help gladly, happily and without any hassle, but please before you edit a current Template think of its implications, which your changes affect all articles that are being used. Excuse me for my english and thanks to Google Translate. Greeting from Spain. tot-futbol (talk) 22:18, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

Ronaldo

Hello,

I see you edited the Ronaldo article again. Here's the thing after years of nasty edit warring that included editors being blocked, sockpuppets being created and blocked, the page being protected over and over again, a consensus view was reached to use the common names Inter Milan and AC Milan. Things have been relatively peaceful with that article for a couple of years now, why are you trying to undo all of that? Please read the Wikipedia policy on consensus and if you wish to change the consensus view that has evolved and worked for a long time then do so the proper and respectful way of starting up a new discussion on the talk page and achieve a new consensus. Thanks. SQGibbon (talk) 17:26, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 19

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification (CONCACAF – CONMEBOL play-off), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page San José (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Deportivo Saprissa S.A.D. a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Deportivo Saprissa. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Europa League

Hi. Thanks for being patient with me regarding 2016–17 UEFA Europa League. Since distribution and access list needed correction and teams had to be moved around, I felt it was best to revert back to a "clean" version and start from that. I could have explained that better in my edit summary wehen reverting you, and I am sorry for the confusing moment I created. Now everything should be okay if we dont consider Kosovo as Kassiesa do. In pervious discussions, we have said to wait until FIFA confirmation and it depends on how you interpret their latest statement opening for Kosovo teams. This should be further discussed before adding them, I think. Qed237 (talk) 23:44, 22 May 2016 (UTC)

Invite to the African Destubathon

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:14, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

The article Cámara de Comercio de Cúcuta has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:ORGSIG and WP:ORGDEPTH. The two references relate to stamps that were postmarked by the Chamber of Commerce, and have little to do with the organization itself.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Invitation from Wikimedia Portugal

(English below)

Agradecemos desde já!

Hi! Wikimedia Portugal is the Portuguese chapter of Wikimedia, founded in 2009 and recognized by the Wikimedia Foundation. Our mission is to contribute to the general dissemination of knowledge and culture through the incentive to the collection and creation of content without restrictions on use, modification and distribution, and promote their difusion; we promote and support the Wikimedia Foundation projects, among which Wikipedia, with emphasis on projects in Portuguese and Mirandese.

We would like however to count on the support of (and in turn ourselves support) all volunteers that are citizens, resident, or simply interested in Portugal. Despite being founded in 2009, the chapter has gone through a long period of inactivity that we are trying to overcome. We have sent you this message to invite you, if you are interested, to enroll as associate to the chapter, demonstrate your support to the existence of a chapter in Portugal, and get involved in the discussion of future activities by registering in the mailing list. Recentely, the Wikimedia Affiliations Committee suspended support to Wikimedia Portugal pending, among other things, the support from the community of portuguese editors. FC above/in the infobox

Sorry, I can see why you made the change. Unfortunately that change has been made before discussion on the WP:FOOTBALL project page, and it is also making reference to "short name" but that isn't actually referring to the Short Name field in the infobox (which was created several years after the template page). I will fix the template page and try and bring discussion back up at WP:FOOTBALL as I don't care whether it is included or not so long as it is consistent and the MOS updated to match accordingly. Apologies for any confusion or disruption. Koncorde (talk) 19:17, 4 December 2019 (UTC)

Changes to national or regional origin

Please do not change "Catalan" to "Spanish" as you did here. Mas's name is Catalan: instead of the letter y in the middle which most Spanish names have, there's an i. National and regional origins can be a very sensitive issue, and changes like this are disruptive in articles with a strong connection to a particular region or country. Thank you.
