STOP EDITING[edit]

Since every users in wikipedia thinks I violated the copyrights. I now announced I will stop editing any page of wikipedia since March 16, 2008. A tag has been placed on Oklahoma State Highway 29A, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to a nonexistent page.

If you can fix this redirect to point to an existing Wikipedia page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you also fix the redirect. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

That is, the page is a redirect to itself. Perhaps you meant to redirect to a different page, such as a different Oklahoma state highway. Eastmain (talk) 08:28, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion Review for NavXS[edit]

An editor has asked for a deletion review of NavXS. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article, speedy-deleted it, or were otherwise interested in the article, you might want to participate in the deletion review. Tuckatucka (talk) 18:03, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Scott,

I just added a page about NavXS, which is a very popular Location Based Social Network, at least in Europe.

Please see. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_social_networking_websites , where it also has been deleted after you removed it :-)

Thanks, Tucka —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tuckatucka (talkcontribs) 22:07, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, thanks for the review! I believe I've fixed the captioning problems now. Cheers, Murderbike (talk) 00:52, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:K-368[edit]

Thanks for writing. You've clearly been around here longer than I have, so I definitely differ to your judgement. However, just because Kansas decided to give an on/off ramp (remember, it's only one mile long) a state designation, doesn't mean it needs to be included. Right? --Mblumber (talk) 01:54, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, If you say so. Have a good one.--Mblumber (talk) 01:54, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Missouri[edit]

I thought the DOT in Missouri is better than Oklahomas. Then why you say Missouri now seems like using neutral shields. I thouhgt Missouri usually complys with DOT. Didnt it come from Oklahoma's extra sheilds maul out and move to missouri thats why Missouri got about 2 neutral shields?--Freewayguy (Webmail) 23:40, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't we have new version of Caltrans sign drawing this site shows the modification of California interstate shields was November 1971, dont we have the sign drawing shows of April 2005?--Freewayguy (Webmail) 23:43, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Maps[edit]

After what you did to the map on U.S. Route 50 in Nevada, could you do the same with the ones on Interstate 80 in Utah and Interstate 84 in Utah? They both have the same issue as the US 50 one. Thanks CountyLemonade (talk) 19:32, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but why are they skewed on the articles? I checked the images themselves and they seemed normal. CountyLemonade (talk) 19:47, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Delete protection[edit]

I know ur a new admin and stuff(congrats)but I wanted to know if you could help me delete the protection on the Firestar's Quest article page. The reason is that I have read the entire book and would be able to make a great article-- King Rock Go 'Skins! 23:49, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

firestar's quest[edit]

The bloke has simply changed the name a bit to get round the page protection Warriors: Firestar's Quest. What do we do now!?:) I'm sure he can find sources if he really tries, though I can't. He should move it to user space perhaps, I fear he'll just get depressed.:( special, random, Merkinsmum 02:48, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

California[edit]

What's and independent use sign and dependent use sign. Don't we have a newer version of California interstate-shield sign drawing? The only link I saw is interstate shield black-and white copies and is pass in november 1971. Don't we have newer version of Caltrans sign drawing? Don't Missouri do better than ODOT? I know Missouri have too use specific-state shield then why you say you found neutral shields in Missouri. I thought ODOT is the worst place with blue-purple US shields, and forgetting to capitalize. --Freewayguy (Webmail) 16:53, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User:DiveTrash[edit]

Decline speedy; I'm not so sure this isn't someone writing about themselves in some sort of satirical fashion.

This page (note URL) may disabuse you of that notion. Also, the user wouldn't be contributing much, as they've been blocked, so not much point there, either. --Calton | Talk 06:16, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kansas[edit]

Don't the KTA do better than Oklahoma. Because the map on interstate-guide is wrongly shade. It suppose to be blue; not magenta-mix-shield state. I thought Kansas most of the interstates have state name on it and you said Kansas is more consistance do you mean the KDOT do better job following the documents by placing state name on interstate shield when they suppose to? You say ODOT lets people to get away with documents more than everywhere else. I thouhgt you still live in Oklahoma; now dont you live in Missouri or you live in kansas now.--Freewayguy (Webmail) 18:21, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I dont get by "possibly because KDOT is in the process of migrating to one or the other." this phrase. I thouhgt Kansas still use normal state shields in sign drawing. From what I've ehar Kansas state-name sheidls still many, I dont see kansas trying to migrate to neutral shields, though they might be kew near the blue board to "KTA", one on I-35, 335, and I-470 but I thouhgt rest is normal state name shields. Can I see the sign drawing for Kansas because looks more right to me. Anyways do you work yet? if so what job you work as?--Freewayguy (Webmail) 19:10, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Controversies regarding Jehovah's Witnesses[edit]

I need your help. The user User:Vassilis78 removes entire sections which are critical of Jehovah's Witnesses from the page Controversies regarding Jehovah's Witnesses. He removed the entire Family integrity & freedom of mind section. He said that the whole section is POV and without sources according to wiki-standards. For one more time, I won't hesitate to ask for adminitrators' help if needed and when I speak about administrators, I mean it. I also expect exprericned wikipedians who watch this ridiculus situation to say something. I think this is very bad behavour. He should specify what is wrong. I think this is bias in favour Jehovah's Witnesses. Please help.Tre2 15:15, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Image:Green Lanes[edit]

Scott, you just placed Image:Green Lanes on Commons.

a. Please can you tell me why and what that means. b. It's also in a category with a dup name and so up for deletion. Again do you know why and what I can do to stop it getting deleted?

Deleting image on Commons[edit]

I noticed that you deleted Image:General Electric CJ 805 23 mounted to Convair 990.jpg because it was on Commons, which is perfectly fine and proper to do. However, the two images did not have identical titles) - Commons image is at Commons:Image:General Electric CJ-805-23 mounted to Convair 990.jpg, with the differnce being a "dash". As such, the "brilliant" ImageRemovalBot removed the deleted file. Fortunately, I was able to find the correct file in short order, but that may not always be the case. Is there anything that you can do to avoid or simplify such a situation in the future, such as including the link to the Commons image at the time of deleteion, since you presumably have the Commons file name in front of you already? Or perhaps a smarter bot could be devlopedthat would change the image file to the correct one. This is really a minor issue in the scheme of things, but a solution might help avoiding someone having to do a longer search in the future. Thanks. - BillCJ (talk) 05:36, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This arbitration case has been closed and the final decision is available at the link above. No formal enforcement measures are being proposed at this time, in light of the hope that editors will act of their own volition and take with them a more in-depth understanding of the issues, principles, and the disputes themselves, for future benefit and to avoid the need for more formal responses; in particular, all members of WikiProject U.S. Roads are advised that when asserting the existence of a prior consensus, it is necessary to refer to prior discussions or debates on Wikipedia where that consensus has been established.

Barry Stokes[edit]

Hi Scott. I'm confused by the change you made in the Stokes piece. Your note asserts that he has been convicted, but that is not true. He remains in jail awaiting trial. Wouldn't it be more appropriate for the title to refer to him as an "accused embezzler"? Or is there some standard for how to label entries on persons whose status is likely to change, as here where he is all but certain to be convicted eventually?

Junction tables[edit]

Hey Scott, sorry about the different format for the junction table you fixed up on this page. I just found the format I was using easier to make references and such with. Might I ask why you discourage using wikitables for the junction lists anyway? No inconveniences were intended here; just a different point of view is all.  :) --Dbm11085 (talk) 01:06, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Highway Signs[edit]

Hi Scott, I was just curious as to why you think our edits of highway signs are being undone (eg: List of Highways 102). I thought perhaps that I had done something "wrong" because this has happened to me before. Please enlighten me if you can. Thanks Gordalmighty (talk) 23:17, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the page reference on this topic. I believe the purpose is to keep lines the same height. Cool. As an aside though, would you perhaps be able to offer a theory as to why highways and routes are listed South to North? Personally, I find this the equivalent of reading a book from bottom to top!
