Roads[edit]

Hi there: sorry they've gone - I didn't ask for it and don't feel that they deserved it. A useful tip; when writing an article that you intend to finish later, at the top of the page type {underconstruction}, using doubled brackets rather than single (I used single ones so that you could see the wording of the template. Most editors on seeing that will leave the aricle alone, assuming yhat it's not copyvio or defamatory. I suggerst that you re-insert your articles, with this template, and see how it goes. Streets[edit]

Hi: I have voted to retain your articles, but I'm afraid it looks like no-one else has. Suggest either follow my earlier suggestion re the underconstruction template, or do each article in its entirety at one go. Gay Blackpool[edit]

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Gay Blackpool, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. IPA /r/[edit]

Hi,

We use a single IPA transcription for all English dialects when possible, and therefore keep the /r/s in UK placenames like Darbyshire. (We also retain UK vowel distinctions in US placenames.) The wiki IPA-en chart is a compromise agreement between UK and US editors. Multiple transcriptions are used not for varying accents but for truly distinct pronunciations like those for antimony. kwami (talk) 18:54, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, the Wine Project is currently in the process of hammering out a proposed policy relating to Wikipedia:Notability (wine topics).
