To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Deleting content[edit]

Greetings, User:Seqqndlyfe! On the List of Jewish feminists you recently deleted existing content without explanation (usually included in the Edit summary). Kindly read the discussion of Wikipedia:Content removal and particularly the section on Types of content removal. I also wrote an explanation for the use of flag icons there, a recent improvement to the list. Meanwhile, I restored the information you deleted (as its original addition was mine), and made three improvements to the new content you added. Open the View history tab to read the Edit summaries I wrote. Wikipedia is a collaborative project and interaction between editors can be helpful. It's likely we have some areas of interest in common. You're welcome to contact me on my User talk page, or on a particular article's Talk page when relevant. -- Cheers, Deborahjay (talk) 09:06, 24 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Additions to List of Jewish feminists - further work required[edit]

Hello again, @Seqqndlyfe:! I appreciate your continuing contributions to the List of Jewish feminists, especially as all but one was unfamiliar to me. I reviewed the individual pages regarding the WP policy Biographies of living people: Categories, Lists and navigation templates as relates to religious identity. I then made the following edits accordingly:

Each explanation I wrote on the above Talk pages indicates what's lacking on the related WP page. The remedy requires finding verifiable content with reliable sources for citations. This will also give you guidance for future additions to the Jewish feminists List (maintained manually, as you already do) and Category (added to the bottom of each subject's page). Also - while I was on the pages I made some content and style edits, which you can see here. I also encourage you to write an Edit summary for each edit. I usually do this just before hitting See preview or See changes. The Edit summary really aids in the collaborative process of improving WP pages.
I hope this has been helpful! You can contact me on my User talk page or by e-mail from my User page. -- Cheers, Deborahjay (talk) 12:26, 31 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Parent categories[edit]

I see many your additions of categories are being reverted. Let me explain why with an example from Gad Elmaleh. You added Category:Jewish comedians to the page. At t he time you did that, it had both Category:Jewish Canadian comedians and Category:Jewish male comedians. If you look at them, near the bottom it lists categories that the specific category is a "child" of. As Category:Jewish comedians is a "parent" category of both of those, there is no need to explicitly add it. We try to create the most specific category for a subject and parent and other ancestors do not need to be added. Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:13, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
