Feedback on sandbox work[edit]

Hi, Sergeantsliz! I'm just looking through some sandboxes today, as your professor asked me to provide any additional feedback. Looks like you've done some great work that will help expand the existing stub on Garden City (Cairo). Don't forget to try to work your content into that existing stub (the template about districts of Cairo may be the main useful thing on the existing stub). I also noticed that your current research does not cite any references; are you planning to add in-line citations before moving the content into the article namespace? If I'm speaking a foreign language, shoot me a message on my talk page! Happy to advise in any way possible! JMathewson (WMF) (talk) 19:46, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Help us improve the Wikipedia Education Program[edit]

Hi Sergeantsliz! As a student editor on Wikipedia, you have a lot of valuable experience about what it's like to edit as a part of a classroom assignment. In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it's extremely helpful to hear from real student editors about their challenges, successes, and support needs. Please take a few minutes to answer these questions by clicking below. (Note that the responses are posted to a public wiki page.) Thanks!

Moving your sandbox[edit]

Hi, Sergeantsliz!

With a new article, moving the sandbox work into the article namespace is very simple, but it gets a bit trickier when there is an existing article (Garden City (Cairo)). I suggest you go to the existing stub, edit, and copy & paste your article into the appropriate spots. The next step before saving, though, will be to see if you think you need to keep either of the existing sentences and can work them in to your text or if you should remove them altogether because you've mentioned it already. I definitely recommend keeping the information from ==External links== and down. Make sure you're signed in when you do this, and don't forget to leave a summary in the 'edit summary' box, with a brief explanation of what you're adding. Let me know if you need any more help!
