Welcome to Wikipedia[edit]

I took the liberty of adding some formatting to your article on the Cyrus Gates Farmstead. I also took out some of the POV (Point of View) text. You might want to reword portions of this article to make it more objective. You might also remove some of the descriptions that appear elsewhere (e.g., about the Underground Railroad and Fugitive Slave Act) and instead add them to the "See also" section. You can also add "wiki links" to related articles by enclosing names between two square brackets, like I did in the "See also" section. Once again, welcome to wikipedia, and thanks for contributing! wrp103 (Bill Pringle) 18:23, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello: I would like to talk to someone about the deletion of the "Cyrus Gates" entry.

I have a newspaper article about the validity of Cyrus Gates. "FREEDOM IS WHERE I'M GOING" Cyrus Gates' Station on the Underground Railroad, By Roger Luther, Feb 7, 2008, Binghamton Press and Sun Bulletin. (http://nyslandmarks.com/treasures/08feb.htm) The picture is mine, I just did not know how to ref. it. Thanks, Steve Beukema

License tagging for Image:Cyrus Gates main house.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cyrus Gates main house.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:07, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

The article Teafee has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced neologism, no evidence for notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Owego (village), New York appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists.
