License tagging for File:BSicon KACCa.png

Thanks for uploading File:BSicon KACCa.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

Article layout

Hi, re this edit - please don't put right-aligned box-type objects (such as route diagrams) immediately after infoboxes: this is because it causes a huge area of blank space to appear left of the infobox in MS Internet Explorer, where the text "Wapping railway station is in Wapping ..." appears level with the top of the {{London Overground East London Line}} box.

Also please note that changing the order of the parameters in the infobox has no effect on the appearance, but it does make comparing "before" and "after" versions in the diff more difficult. As far as I can tell, your only actual change to the infobox was to add the |access= parameter - which you left blank. --Redrose64 (talk) 09:32, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Hmm, it doesn't do so on IE9, just checked it myself, same with IE8, neither does it do it in Google Chrome or Firefox 4. Not sure what version of IE you're using but by the sounds of it it may be time for an update. We can't go on doing things to support outdated browsers forever, even MS agrees with that!

re the infobox parameters, that was purely to put them into a standard format, rather than them being all over the place.. Not sure how they ever end up that way anyway, but standardisation doesn't hurt.Sgreen93 (talk) 16:51, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

To clarify, is the main issue the route box code being placed directly under the infobox? When placed further down, i.e in say, the History section, does this solve the problem?Sgreen93 (talk) 16:53, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

The current version is somewhat better than this version. Moving the RDT box down the page may partially solve the problem, or it may solve it completely; it's not so much a case of "how far down should the RDT go", but "in the absence of the RDT, how much text is shown to the left of the infobox" - the RDT would be placed after that point. See this screen grab, which is taken from the current version; it shows an area of blank space after the heading "Services". The text "All times below are correct as of the December 2010 timetables" shows level with the top of the RDT, because in the wikicode, that's the text which occurs immediately after {{London Overground East London Line}}. I could have moved that template even further down, which would have further reduced the blank space; but then it might not have been adjacent to a relevant section. If I had placed it as early as the "History" section, the blank space would have been much larger. --Redrose64 (talk) 17:44, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link fixing one-day contest

I have decided to put on a mini-contest within the November 2013 monthly disambiguation contest, on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (see the project page for details on scoring points). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely nine edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I will credit links fixed by turning a WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the Daily Disambig, we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed.
