Charlotte Laws[edit]

Hi, and thanks for your message. Congratulations on your first article. Its very good indeed for a first attempt, well done. Thanks also for providing those references, its usually good to have biographies of living people well sourced for reasons of libel etc.

Regarding the red link to omniocracy. That is not a request for you to make the article, per se. Its just an interesting word/concept that I think might benefit from its own article one day. Don't feel you have to turn red links blue, but of course, if you want to then it would be most helpful. Welcome, once again, to Wikipedia and happy editing! Wikipedia[edit]

I am curious why you took out my edit on Jan 31st. I thought this was information people would want to know - how Microsoft is paying a third party to put the company in a favorable light on Wikipedia. I was about to add a footnote for my change, but you deleted it before I could. Thanks.

The Microsoft incident can hardly be termed "In popular culture". It would be better off mentioned in Reliability of Wikipedia, and possibly also in Criticism of Wikipedia if you can find a source for criticism following the event. It's not really significant enough for the main Wikipedia article, which in in the middle of a major rewrite and has been trimmed down substantially. Things like the Seigenthaler incident get a mention in the main article – Qxz 20:20, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've rewritten the "Criticism and controversy" section and it now includes a brief mention of the incident. More detailed information in one of the other articles mentioned above is welcome – Qxz 12:31, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
