Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 10:11, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

I see someone already left you a welcome message. I want share a kindly word of advice that as frustrating as other editors can be most do have decent intentions and tossing out a few please's and thank you's (just like in real world) goes a long way. If you want a great challenge try proving Barry Manilow or Abraham Lincoln is gay. Benjiboi 11:07, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please dont attempt to return questionable material without a source to back it up[edit]

Hello, please read wikipedia's rules about reliable sources that are needed to back statements made within wikipedia, and particularly wikipedia's stringent requirements for reliable sources on material about living people. Simply stating "it was published in teen magazines in 1971", does not satisfy the requirements. If you have specific reliable sources for the comment you wish to return to the Partridge Family article, please see WP:CITE for information on how to properly attribute the material to its published source. Thank you. Trout Ice Cream (talk) 05:26, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kindly take your comments to the "discussion page" for the article, thank you Trout Ice Cream!ShirleyPartridge (talk) 05:54, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock-auto|1=IP REDACTED FOR PRIVACY|2=Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "BGMNYC". The reason given for BGMNYC's block is: "Abusing multiple accounts".|3=Jehochman|4=BLOCK NUMBER REDACTED FOR PRIVACY}}

Please be patient. I have contacted the admin that blocked BGMNYC to investigate further. Please await his response. --Jayron32.talk.contribs 03:30, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you dear.ShirleyPartridge (talk) 08:03, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Autoblock of IP REDACTED FOR PRIVACY lifted or expired. The blocking admin raised no objections to lifting this autoblock. Sorry for any inconvenience the disruptive user BGMNYC may have caused you...

Request handled by: Jayron32.talk.contribs 16:10, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

--Jayron32.talk.contribs 16:10, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmmmmm.... I am thoroughly confused. When I try to lift the autoblock you cite above, it tells me it isn't blocked. I am bringing in some more admins to help figure out what is going on. I apologize for this mess, but I don't really understand it myself... --Jayron32.talk.contribs 05:08, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This is very strange, as you should now be able to edit. Might I recommend that you try clearing your cache and try editing again. Tiptoety talk 05:47, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Guys, Thanks for that, I cleared the cache and all cookies etc just now, went to Jayron's page again, and still got the same "BLOCKED FROM EDITING" message. I also tried different browsers, same thing. Any advice?ShirleyPartridge (talk) 06:01, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What does the "BLOCKED FROM EDITING" message say? Like: "Vandalism", "Auto-block", or something else ... Tiptoety talk
It says:"You are unable to edit Wikipedia because someone using the same internet address (an 'IP address') or shared proxy server as you was blocked. Your ability to edit Wikipedia has been automatically suspended as a result.Note that you have not been blocked from editing directly. The other user was blocked by Seicer for the following reason (see our blocking policy):"ShirleyPartridge (talk) 06:09, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The IP you are using looks like it is dynamic. Can you disconnect and reconnect to the internet? If you do, you will probably get a new IP and not have this problem. --B (talk) 06:15, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That did it. Thank you Jayron32, Tiptoety and B, you are each both brilliant and more importantly, kind gentleman.ShirleyPartridge (talk) 06:32, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to be of help! --Jayron32.talk.contribs 18:16, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your third opinion request[edit]

Please revise your request on Wikipedia:Third opinion to specify the page where disagreements are discussed, and rephrase your request in a neutral fashion per the instructions. Thanks. ~Amatulić (talk) 23:07, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Something like # [[Talk:The Partridge Family#cultural references section]]. Disagreement about deleting cultural references. ~~~~~ should do the trick. The idea is that people reading the page shouldn't be influenced one way or t'other by the report; by signing it with 5 ~s the submission is time-stamped, but your signature doesn't appear.

Nevermind, I see your request has been resubmitted and accepted. Good luck!  This flag once was red  23:18, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I see what you mean now. Thx. ShirleyPartridge (talk) 23:19, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
