Cancelling dyk of March fracture

Sir:

I have nominated for dyk for the article March fracture. The nomination was verified by you, and that article is currently in the next next queue.

while making some edits in that article, I found there is another article on wikipedia on the same topic by the name Stress fracture. It has also a redirect from marching fracture.

Before creating March fracture, I had searched for that topic on wikipedia. But I did not find it, that's my mistake.

Now as there is already an article on wikipedia on the same topic, it will not be fair to present my article for DYK. And I think the nomination should be rechecked.

I will be more carefull next time.

Sincerely yours' Ganesh Dhamodkar (Talk) 06:51, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

    • Yesterday, I went home and again searched for material regarding stress fracture and march fracture. I found that Stress fracture is a broader term, and a March fracture is the stress fracture of metatarsal bones only. so I think both the articles can coexist in wikipedia. Then you can probably have the article you worked on featured in DYK. Good work, RyanCross @ 03:07, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Really need help

I really need help regarding dyk and Tropical ulcer. It is above 1500, as i counted. but when i go to edit this article link at the top of the article it shows only intro and clinical features and not the whole article. Ganesh Dhamodkar 05:42, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

I think i have deleted it by mistake, i need help really. Ganesh Dhamodkar 05:44, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Don't worry about the DYK. I have verified it as it has met the requirements for DYK. You just have to wait several days and then you will receive a notice that your article has appeared on the Main Page.
About the article... it looks fine to me. All of the content is there. It might just be your browser... – RyanCross (talk) 06:23, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Thank you! Ganesh Dhamodkar (Talk) 07:01, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Notability of BAMCEF

Answer to nomination for speedy deletion of the article BAMCEF:

Thanks for making me aware that I have not given the notability of BAMCEF in the article. It is one of the most prominant social organization in India. It is the think tank of Bahujan Samaj Party, the ruling party in the state of Uttar Pradesh. You can verify its notability by searchhing it on google. I do not have much information about this institution, but I knew it is well worthy to have place on wikipedia; so I have started the stub article as wikipedia did not have it.

I need other wikipedians' help to make the article more comprehensive. Ganesh Dhamodkar (Talk) 07:03, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Notability for not deleting

Copied from talk page of the article BAMCEF:

BAMCEF is the orgnization which has a deep impression on indian society and politics. Kanshiram, former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, about whom BBC said that:

Even his political enemies... acknowledge that politics in substantial parts of northern India can never been the same again.[1]

establilshed it in 1978, since then this organization has played a vital role in social and political movements in India. Wikipedia must have at least a good article on this topic. Ganesh Dhamodkar (Talk) 03:30, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Nothing in the article indicates the importance or significance of the subject. That's why it's up for deletion. Eeekster (talk) 03:36, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
  • I have added some more information on this topic. Moreover, I will try to improve it. Kindly consider not deleting. Ganesh Dhamodkar (Talk) 08:15, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Let me give you some simple tips on formatting. Do not leave a space while starting a new paragraph, as you had done while starting your talk page.
that will give appearance like this.

New paragraph is just to leave a blank line and start a new line exactly from left border.

  • If you want to put a wikilink, just put [[...]] on either side of the text. Make sure that the words in the bracket are correctly spelled with proper capitalization.

eg. [[Truth]] will produce Truth.

If you want to link something else that is not exactly written in the brackets:

  1. Put opening brackets.
  2. Write the exact words of the link.
  3. Leave a space and put | symbol. This symbol is on the \ key in numerical line of the keypad, just below F12 key.
  4. Again leave a space and type what you want to appear on the screen.
  5. Close the brackets.

eg. Typing [[User:Shivashree | Ganesh Dhamodkar]] will produce Ganesh Dhamodkar on the screen and it will link to user shivashree.

  • While putting a reference, write a reference in <ref>...</ref>, and add a {{reflist}} tag at the end of the article. Your reference will be automatically seen in the reflist at the end of the page. {{reflist}} tag may already be there on the previously made pages, but If you are creating an article, do not forget to place this tag at the end. That will produce a reference list.

eg. I live in Nagpur.<ref>Nagpur's telephone directory.</ref> will produce: I live in Nagpur.[1] and the reference will be shown at the end.

I think this is enough for today, just Be Bold, and start editing.

  1. ^ Nagpur's telephone directory.
