Creating Shradh by copy&paste was only fractionally above vandalism. You concealed the history of contributions by many editors to the article. In any case the weight of links suggests that Shraddha is the preferred transliteration. But you are welcome to have a redirect at shradh. -- RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 13:36, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

- i didnt intend to vandalise anyone's contribution by copy-pasting & creating a new pg! The thing is that - Shraddha & Shradh are 2 different things altogether! and as my name is Shraddha i m a bit sensitive to it!
- Shraddha means - respect, dedication, trust, faith... n shradh is a religious ceremony done at the death of a person! naturally - I didnt want Shradh info featuring on the Shraddha pg... n at the same time, i did not want to delete all the hard work ppl put in keying info on shradh!

Actually I was beginning to feel the same that one is the Buddhist word for faith and the other is an Hindu funeral/memorial ceremony. However to try and distinguish between them on different spellings is wrong in my opinion. They are all different transliterations of the same sounding word. The proper approach for Wikipedia is to make all spellings redirect to one page, that page to be a simple disambiguation page pointing to separate articles: Shraddha (faith) and Shraddha (funeral) for example.
