Dead citations[edit]

Thank you for your recent interest in Wikipedia's Vietnam-related articles. Unfortunately, several of the sources you cited appear to have been written based on Wikipedia articles. Please avoid citing such sources, because circular references call into question the accuracy of Wikipedia and hinder further research. Also, some of the sources you replaced were either still online or have been archived at the Wayback Machine; a quick check would have preserved these citations. Finally, in case it is relevant to you, please be aware of Wikipedia's guidelines regarding conflict of interest. Thank you for understanding. – Minh Nguyễn 💬 10:14, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

So, if unblocked, you will no longer attempt to create backlinks to your website? PhilKnight (talk) 10:55, 30 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hi, I do understand what I have done look really look like spam. But I only intend to create a live citation. At the time of making those change, I didn't know that WaybackMachine can be used as a citation source. So I re-written that content on our website and cited. I admit that I did think about backlink and SEO at that time, but I also want to make those article better, and did not want visitors lead to 404 page when they need to verify information on that page. Next time I will use Way Back Machine or other kind of Internet Archive to cite.

Request reason:

Yes, I will never create a link back to my website from Wikipedia. I will use Wayback Machine Instead and try to make Wikipedia better with my knowledge.

Decline reason:

On reflection, I think a standard offer approach could be taken. In this context, I suggest you make a new unblock request in 6 months time. PhilKnight (talk) 15:38, 24 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Callanecc:- would you object to an unblock? PhilKnight (talk) 18:50, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

One question for Sialtuong, were you following the advice of Matthew Woodward? Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 02:27, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Callanecc:- Hi, No. Actually I got the idea from Backlinko, a really good guy at SEO and links building, that's why I thought what I have done is legit (but it's not). I haven't read any kind of complete guide about it like Matthew's. For me, I think Matthew's work is some kind of gray or even black hat SEO, which I don't believe in. SialThuong (talk) 00:40, 25 January 2015 (GMT +7)

Sorry Phil: I don't have an objection to unblock per se. But I'd suggest that they're edits will be very closely watched and anything smelling like link spamming will very likely result in an indef block. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 07:41, 25 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
