UEFA Champions League Sponsors List[edit]

Hello,

I just want to let you know that I don't get your intention to Remove the list of sponsors, which you cited as "Violates WP:PROMOTION and WP:DIRECTORY which explicitly calls out listing out sponsors."

I mean, this is Wikipedia where we can share as many (valid) information as we could to inform and educate the readers. The sponsors list has been around on that page for decades with updates, and that's by no means to promote. It's just as an information with its citation.

Whether you like it or not, sponsorships drives the UEFA Champions League. Money and sponsorships is the reason why the UEFA rebranded the European Cup into the Champions League. MArvAlcao17 (talk) 03:43, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know about the revert.
> where we can share as many (valid) information as we could to inform and educate the readers.
Disagree with this. WP:DIRECTORY is present explicitly to forbid this.
> The sponsors list has been around on that page for decades with updates
Since when? There was a discussion on the Talk page last year.

That's irrelevant to whether it should be in the article or not. Sponsorship drives almost all sporting events. A "Sponsorship" section isn't present on most. Silent Nemesis2710 (talk) 18:19, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
