Hi, I'm pretty new to editing Wikipedia. I'm trying not to make too many mistakes as I fix errors that I come across. If you notice I'm doing something wrong, please post it here. Thx. Sisterdetestai 06:00, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Landholder[edit]

Please exercise caution with actions which significantly change content and structure of articles. Especially please tone down about actions of deletion and merging and follow wikipedia rules for these. Please keep in mind that your opinion on what can and what cannot be expanded may be wrong. Not to say please don't put false edit summaries for your actions: you did not merge the article content. Also you redirected it to wrong article, so I guess you are hardly an expert in the domain, and therefore you better seek advice from wikipedians who actively develop the corresponding subjects. - Altenmann >t 17:13, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you wrote: "using the word "please" in your comments does not necessarily make them polite". Yes I know that. (I've been deeply and intentionally insulted in wikipedia in most profusively and exquisitely polite ways not once.) I was just quickly listing the main objections to your actions and my reasoning. I am not native English language speaker, as you may guess. So are many other wikipedia editors. Therefore if you find particular phrases sound insulting (besides the fact that criticism is never pleasant) please explain which ones and why. Some people like me, will understand. Some will not (some will even use the f*-word and refer to free speech), but then you will know they are jerks, and you will communicate with them accordingly. - Altenmann >t 00:08, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
