SF copyedit

Hi, i was wondering if you could give Homosexuality in speculative fiction a copy edit: For grammar, (Brittish) spelling, checking it makes sense to general readers (jargon), whether there is too much repetition, is too listy. I'm working on the lead now. the refs i will format properly soon, unless you are really bored and want something to do .-).

Article is being worked up to GA class (not FA), but i can't find anyone who wants to help (all the wikiprojects it is part of have ignored it). You were the only editor on the peer reviewers list to indicate any interest in genre fictions :-). Thanks!Yobmod (talk) 14:58, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Copy edit

Hello. I was wondering if you could give History of Indiana a copy edit? It is wrote in American English, but I may have dropped in a bit of the King's English accidentally. Article is close to FA standards, but a thorough copy edit would help alot. If you are busy that's understandable. Thanks! Charles Edward 02:27, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Copy-edit request

Hey. I was just wondering if you could please copy-edit the Pilot (30 Rock) article. It's been suggested at its FAC that it should go under a copy-edit throughout. Thanks for any help. -- [User]Jamie JCA[Talk] 17:55, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

This is pretty current

That's why I'm glad to see a volunteer with an interest in modern history. It turns out that self-determination still eludes the people of Western Sahara despite Spain vacating in 1975. It's on this list I would like you to peer review, Wikipedia:Peer_review/United_Nations_list_of_Non-Self-Governing_Territories/archive1 . Enjoy! :)--Thecurran (talk) 15:20, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Peer Review

Hi, I was hoping you could help me out with my peer review request for the Davenport, Iowa page. I worked really hard to get it to a GA in March, and am hoping to get it to an FA by the end of this year. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Peer review, Sleep Medicine

Hello. I found you listed wp:prv, and it looks to me like "my" article Sleep medicine might interest you. I've listed it at Peer review under natsci, but its not really a medical article. Could have listed it under history, but perhaps not too many historians would consider the last half a century as history.

Any general or specific comments would be appreciated, if you have time. I'm "canvassing" only two potential reviewers today, in addition to project:medicine, then waiting several days before pestering anyone new. Thanks for reading this, and I hope you'll be able to take a look at Sleep medicine. Regards, --Hordaland (talk) 14:00, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
