supportive notes[edit]

Hi! I became suspicious as American Museum of Natural History was in this list. i checked it - wrong spelling. However, i think there are a number of museums, which actually exist, but the names on this list deviate too much from the original or are in need of clarification.

  • Beijing Historical Museum is part of the National Museum of China (...of China in Beijing is now an integrated complex of the two museums here)
  • Berlin Anthropological Museum is a mistranslation - i might be wrong, but i lived there for many years and had never heard of it. There is however a Ethnologisches Museum also called Museum für Völkerkunde, which has an article: Ethnological Museum of Berlin
  • Museum für Sepulkralkultur, i corrected spelling - Sepulkralkultur means burial culture, or funeral culture; an article in German WP: here
  • Kommissar Erlass/Commissar Degree (3rdReich) - Erlass is also called Dekret, which translates to decree, not degree. However the proper term is Kommissarbefehl, WP De:here, Engl.: Commissar Order
  • Westphalen Federation of Cities, see: League of the Rhine

Nonetheless, very interesting lists - all of them - and very entertaining. Keep it coming, please. It might be helpful to put a short note on top of the lists and inform the reader that, - and how - he can help with the research. I will get back here, when i can be of help. • Well, the idea of the lists is that people would write articles about the subjects or, if new article is not necessary, create redirect - Skysmith (talk) 19:17, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
