The removal of {{popcat}} in Category:Rail infrastructure[edit]

Hi. I noticed you deleted the {{popcat}} tag from Category:Rail infrastructure. The reason I placed that tag there was that as the category was new, there needed to be some articles from Category:Rail transport moved there. I did not have the time to check all of the articles to see if they fitted in this new category, so instead, I only changed the category of the more obvious candidates and hoped that someone else would see the popcat notice and check the articles in Category:Rail transport to see if they should be included in Category:Rail infrastructure. I have restored the tag for now. Ae-a 17:36, 1 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Richmond and Allegheny Railroad[edit]

I just knocked out a new article on the Richmond and Allegheny Railroad. Can you see what you can do with it, please? Mark Vaoverland 23:27, 2 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

... units[edit]

Does North America have anything resembling the typical European locomotive layout, i.e. a single unit with a cab at either end? And if so, what are they called? Dunc| 16:05, 16 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Good model articles for Class III and RR Pics[edit]

Slambo,

I'm looking for what you would consider "GREAT" articles on a short line. Something that has a sufficient amount of detail, right amount of categories, templates, etc. and sub-headings.

I'm looking for a model to use for articles I'll be working on.

Also, any suggestions on sources for railroad images?

I started out working on Alabama RRs, Amtrak routes and updating RR lists, but I think I'll shift to Nevada RRs for a while. Rhallanger 17:29, 24 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Is this public domain image?[edit]

I found a picture I'd like to use that CA State RR Museum put a copyright on, yet the image was taken in the 1800's, well before 1923. Can they still copyright old images? [1] Rhallanger 22:57, 24 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Loco pictures on FPC[edit]

Hi! There are a couple of locomotive pictures on Wikipedia:Featured_picture_candidates you may want to have a look at, and maybe vote on. Greetings, --Janke | Talk 14:16, 28 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Status - OpenFacts[edit]

I noticed you recently commented on the OpenFact's Wikipedia Status page. I would like to solicit comments on WikiStatus/CoLocus (still don't know what to name it), an alternative to the OpenFacts page. I think it is a lot easier to use (not surprisingly), but I'd like input. Thanks. — Ambush Commander(Talk) 03:36, 30 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
