Trains Wikiproject

Hi slambo,

Seeing as you seem to be fairly prominent in this area, could you let me know if I need to go through some procedure to join, or if I edit myself into the contributers section of the page and contribute stuff. I specialise in the Great Western Railway of England, which I know already has a fair following, but there are still some gaps and things I could fill. Thumbs up for Philately as well as trains! (We love expensive hobbies!) R wmorley 20:05, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thanks for cleaning up some of my boo-boos. I need all the help I can get with my Mexican railroad mini-project...

Railfan

WashingtonWillie seems bent on preserving the piece about OCD and being a railfan. Unless he produces some verifiable information, doesn't Wikipedia policy mandate that he be told 'no'? Heck, he didn't even put it in the right place this time.

Thanks for uploading Image:ER_Diagnostic_System.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Note: my upload was only to crop out the unnecessary whitespace from the original image. I don't know where the original came from. Slambo (Speak) 19:57, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

Photo of James McParland: source?

Hi. Where did you get the photo of James McParland? I am trying to find a larger version, one big enough to publish in a book. Jed DeOrsay

The photo was originally published in the McClure's Magazine article listed in the references section of the article on Franklin B. Gowen. The article is reprinted online at http://history.osu.edu/projects/coal/mollymaguire/mollymaguires.htm; it's a fascinating article in its own right. I would be very interested in reading this book of yours. Slambo (Speak) 20:32, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
