Photos of Irish level crossing

Hi Slambo, I have some decent, and detailed, 2003 photos of an Irish level crossing that may be of interest to you. I noticed you have contributed some RailTransport-related photos to Wikipedia, whereas I am rather illiterate as to the use of images in Wikipedia. I've left a comment about it in Talk:Level crossing. If you are interested, I could arrange to email you a set of them in low-res and you could determine if you think they might be of interest. I know I found the interlocking nature of the rail and road guard-arms, as well as the "manned" nature of the station in 2003, to be very interesting. N2e 00:33, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your offer Slambo. I don't know how to do images in Wikipedia, and don't have the time to do many train-related WP updates right now, but will be glad to send the original photos I took to anyone in the trains community who is so inclined. Just send me an email address to use. Thanks. N2e 22:38, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

On this page, I have posted my reson for choosing europ- for this template. Myrtone@Slambo.com.au

Change to Pre1950 Railway accidents

Hi.

I wasn't trying a test - the date of the railway crash in Abergele is a year out ... August 20th 1968 rather than 1967 as specified on the site.

I do appreciate that my editing skills need testing in the sandbox though.

Cheers, S

US chapters, &c

Hi Slambo :-) Are you already signed up to wikimediaus-l ? If not: there's currently some discussion about whether and how to set up [a] US wikimedia chapter[s]. Among other things this could help better organize meetups, gatherings at large events and cons, and local outreach. I'm notifying people who have been involved in local meetups; if you are interested, see the mailing-list and meta-page on the topic... both of which could use more activity. +sj + 17:01, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

I started an article on the Union County Industrial Railroad and made West Shore Railroad (current) a redirect to it since the UCIR has taken over operations of the West Shore. I started the UCIR stub to get rid of a red link in an article on White Deer Hole Creek, which the UCIR crosses (i.e. I am not a railroad expert). The whole UCIR / West Shore situation is somewhat complicated, so could you please take a look at the UCIR article and see if it makes sense (and correct any errors you know of)? I already marked it as part of the Trains Wikiproject. Thanks Ruhrfisch 01:15, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

I think the article about the subway is more fitting of a member, than one about the agency that runs it. Pacific Coast Highway (blahtypa-typa) 16:39, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

I just nominated Troop sleeper for GA and would appreciate your looking the article over when you have a few minutes. Thanks!--Lordkinbote 04:36, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

Can you take a look at this?

Hi. I want to make some changes to the entry for Final Draft, which is the industry standard screen writing software program. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Draft . there are some issues I have with the article as it is, mainly the statements of its instability and crash prone issues, none of which have ever happened to me in years of using it, nor have these claims in the entry have any citations to back them up. It almost reads like someone who doesn;t like the program just decided to slag on it. Any thoughts before I proceed? TruthCrusader 09:53, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

trains template

Hi Slambo, thanks for correcting some of my template insertions. I basically am putting the template to all articles that fall under the Category:Rail transport in India. I do have a question though. How do you come to know so fast that the template has been added to a page? If I watch the category, it certainly doesn't come up in recent changes whenever the category gets added to any page. I hope you understand my question -- Lost 17:16, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the explanation... I will add the template more carefully in the future. -- Lost 17:37, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
