Turkish attendances[edit]

Hi! I'm going to update the Average attendances of European football clubs but on my source unfortunately only the Turkish attendances are missing. Do you any web site where I can find the figures for 2007-08 in the Süper Lig? It can be on Turkish as well. As I said, I only need the numbers. Thanks in advance! Regards -Lemmy- (talk) 20:09, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your answer. For an update I actually need the figures for 2007-08, not for 2006-07. I would need a source for that. -Lemmy- (talk) 16:36, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Articles about Turkish footballers[edit]

Hello. I noticed you have created many articles about Turkish footballers and I appreciate your efforts to help Wikipedia's coverage of Turkish football. However, I wanted to mention that many of the articles are about players in the third and fourth level of Turkish football, which is not a fully professional level (it appears to be semi-professional). Accordingly, these articles are about players that fail WP:ATHLETE and are not notable enough for inclusion in Wikipedia. Some of the articles cover players that have played in the Super Lig or TFF First League and those articles are okay because the leagues are fully professional. I have tried to improve the articles for those players and asserted notability by indicating the player has appeared in those leagues (or in one case, the German Bundesliga). For the other players, I have requested that the articles be deleted since the players are not notable. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like any help. Thank you. Jogurney (talk) 17:49, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the kind reply. I may be wrong about the status of the TFF Second and Third Leagues, but I remember another editor said the Second League was semi-professional in a discussion we had a few months ago. However, I know that Göztepe and some other large clubs play at these levels, so perhaps the league is fully professional. Do you know if the entire squad for these clubs earns enough money from football that they do not have to do other work? Even if Göztepe is fully professional, the entire league would need to meet the standard (some of the more than 50 clubs are from smaller towns so I wonder if are players are full-time). I'll be happy to remove all of the prods if I have this wrong. Best regards. Jogurney (talk) 23:35, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:Goztepe08-09.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Goztepe08-09.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 23:00, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Göztepe logo.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Göztepe logo.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 20:56, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: 2009–10 TFF Second League[edit]

The reason for the merger was as following: The 2. Lig is the third division of Turkish football, split up in multiple groups. Hence, a comparison with competitions of similar strength and size, for example the German Regionalligen, the French Championnat de France amateur or the Spanish Segunda División B and Tercera Division. All of these competitions have their own season articles as well:

As you can see, although these leagues have multiple divisions, there is only a single article for these, containing the league tables, results and top goalscorers, where available, of all groups. This practice is a well-established consensus among the participants of Wikipedia:WikiProject Football in general and its season article task force in particular. I don't see why there should be any exceptions from this consensus for 2009–10 TFF Second League. The information of the subarticles you mentioned (2009–10 TFF Second League Group 2 and 2009–10 TFF Second League Promotion Group) can easily be included into the parent article without making it too large in size.

Aside from that, the existing 2009–10 TFF Second League article should be expanded to include complete league tables, results boxes, top goalscorer lists and additional items like maps FOR ALL GROUPS rather than breeding a microcosmos of several small articles. In relation with this and the fact that you are also the main contributor of Göztepe A.Ş. season 2009–10, I would like to point you to Wikipedia:Content forking and its guidelines.

Before you might probably take exception, let me assure that I have nothing against you. I just think that the content of said spin-off articles should be (re-)integrated into 2009–10 TFF Second League, based on the argumentation above. --Soccer-holicI hear voices in my head... 23:47, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 2[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ali Bilgin, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Göztepe (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
