newsletters[edit]

the august newsletter will be released on the 10th august and the september newsletter will be released on the 1st sept. all newsletters from then on will be released on the first of the month. you can help writing the u2 news section. we are doing themed newsletters so we dont want anybody to know until they are released. the august newsletter is here and september is here. do not edit the newsletters, just view and then put your ideas here. put your full news article (as you would present it in the newsletter) here and me and joelster may use it (i still have to get an ok from him). if he agrees, you can write news on this page and we will put it in the newsletter. also what do you think of themed newsletters??? we have the newsletters up to september finished and a draft of the rest up to december. (edit conflict) I just read the ATYCLB issue; it is awesome! Are you just going to go backwards? Um, I've got some more specific stuff on the new album; I am just writing it up right now. I'll post any more news I find here; I've got a few good ones, I think. I love the themed newsletters, especially the idea of using pictures from that era. i agree ATYCLB is really cool. we had more time to work on it! we hope to go backwards and do all the albums. also we will release a special edition on the same day as the new album (how cool is that). put news here and we will use as much as we need. i dont know if we are doing 'did you knows', joelster just put it in and i thought it was cool. if you have any very interesting ones just put them here. It is awesome! I can/will help with the new album edition, atu2.com has a nice little feature on the album, wiht possible songs, etc. Here are the news items I have, they were all that's come up this month that is worthy of mention.

• The band have returned from Fez, Morocco, working on their album. According to Adam, “There’s definitely an album in there.” Some possible songs include : “Mercy”, “If I Could Live My Life Again”, and “North Star”.
• The Republican National Committee has taken the first step to endorsing Bono’s ONE initiative, with a potential donation of 30 billion dollars in U.S. taxes.

Sure, you should probably archive it though. That way, if we forget something, we can find it again.

If it gets too long, we can make a page like User_talk:Smithcool/Newsletter/Archives or something like that.
