The two earlier Billboard links provide supporting evidence as do UK company records. Sadly this page is now completely wrong again. http://www.discogs.com/label/63404-EMI-Records-Ltd and http://www.discogs.com/label/274008-EMI-Records-Limited are also heavily researched headers that support the changes.

I'm well aware of the the header - this is the history of the EMI label - it did not have periods, however the two companies you have confused are differentiated by these. They are not the same entity. Company records have been linked to as well which support that absolutely. I have the EMI Records Ltd company resolutions that cover this on my desk. What is bizarre is that incorrect edits to this page supposedly supported by Billboard articles were allowed when these show that the edits were wrong. I change to data supported by the citations and it's reverted???
