William Shatner IRS Comment[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. To help you in figuring out how to add the information you originally wrote in the William Shatner page, I'm going to make a few suggestions. First, the information you add needs to be more centered around Shatner's criticism of the IRS video and not about the video itself or the IRS. Secondly, you'll want to use more reliable sources to help you narrow what you should focus on. Generally when adding new topics or sections to articles, we must first decide if something garnered enough coverage to be significant enough to add. In this case, Shatner's criticism spurred multiple articles from mainstream media publications so it is certainly worth noting in the article. I don't see Shatner's comments on the IRS spoof video fitting well under other sections, so I'd make a new section titled "Politics" and place it under that. That section can also cover the facebook campaign that tried to get William elected as Governor General of Canada. You could alternatively make a "controversy" section which could outline his IRS comments and his being unable to attend Nimoy's funeral. I personally like the "politics" section, but whatever. Here are some reliable sources you can use:

Hope this helps you to keep it focused on Shatner's comment rather than a detailed summary of the video/controversy.Scoobydunk (talk) 23:47, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
