Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Arion Golmakani, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://solacers.com/index.htm.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Arion Golmakani requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. jonkerz 00:42, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest and promotional editing[edit]

Information icon Hello, Solacers. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 12:56, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Shellwood. I noticed that in this edit to Solacers, you removed all the content without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Shellwood (talk) 13:58, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Solacers. I note that you have issues with the article Solacers. Please note that the WP:G7 speedy deletion tag can only be placed by the original account which created the article -- therefore, I have had to decline it (twice now). If there are issue which the real-life author would like addressed (including deletion), there are instructions at WP:BIOSELF to follow. Please ask if you have problems resolving the issue. Thank you. CactusWriter (talk) 16:02, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, CactusWriter. Thank you for reaching out and wanting to help. I am the original author of this article about a wonderful memoir by Arion Golmakani. Someone has been editing the article maliciously for a while now, referring to this nonfiction book as "fiction" and the protagonist as a "circus clan." The same person attached and changed an article about Arion Golmakani. He or she did not stop until that article was finally deleted. As the original author of Solacers' article, I cannot keep up with whoever this person is and am left with no choice but to permanently delete it. Sadly we live in a world filled with crazy people, that I cannot keep up and deal withRose2017 20:14, 19 September 2017 (UTC).
This appears to be a simple case of vandalism. I have edited the text to reflect the online sources. And the article is currently on my watchlist should there be any immediate problems. If you find blatant vandalism again, feel free to revert the text and report the vandal to WP:AIV. If you still wish the page to be deleted, then please let me know. Cheers.
