File source and copyright licensing problem with File:PCE wiki.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:PCE wiki.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 09:04, 26 October 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Acather96 (talk) 09:04, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Repeated Citation Spam[edit]

Hello, It seems that you are adding citations that contain a particular author to a number of articles. It is not difficult to see what is going on. It is known as citation spam and reduces the trustworthiness of Wikipedia. I have reverted a number of your changes and hoped that you would see the error of your ways without it having to be explicitly pointed out. However you have continued on spamming other pages since then. Please stop. Here is the official warning.

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. NeedsGlasses (talk) 02:45, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please note that each added citation relates to the topic of the completed page and is integrating relevant aspects in specific fields. These articles are not reducing the reliability of Wikipedia, on the contrary, they show interdisciplinary topics and interesting applications of scientific theories. By removing them, you are hiding knowledge from Wikipedia users. Solsikche (talk) 09:04, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello,
I have no problem with the veracity of these journal papers. I do have a problem when you are pushing one particular author across many pages. You are clearly biased and not doing it for the benefit of wikipedia and so I have a problem with your use of these journal papers. Please stop it. NeedsGlasses (talk) 01:22, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
