Information icon Hello, I'm Czar. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Amy Rose, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Tails[edit]

Hi, I am AmaryllisGardener. I reverted your edit because in the official Sega profile for Tails it says that he is 8, not 21 or 22. --AmaryllisGardener talk 20:27, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sonic characters' ages[edit]

Hi, I realized after seeing a couple of your edits to Sonic characters ages that there's a pattern: you seem to be utilizing the ages of their first games. In a real-world sense, this does depict the characters' ages, but Wikipedia's convention is to use officially stated character ages. It makes sense when you think of the plots of the games as we depict them: sometimes a character's in-universe age has an impact on the story. For example, Tails' and (especially) Cream's naivete makes less sense when we say that they're 22 and 12. The characters are more or less kept at a static age in the fictional universe; TV Tropes even has a page on this.

Oh, and for future reference, if we were to go by characters' real-life ages, we'd use a script to determine it based on the current year so as not to have to update it on the games' anniversaries. We do that for living people. Tezero (talk) 22:09, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop changing the characters' ages, unless you provide a reliable source. Sonic's official age is 15, not 23. Satellizer (´ ・ ω ・ `) 23:12, 26 June 2014 (UTC) sonic is 16 tails is 12 cream is 6 amy is 15 shadow is about 500 silve (in his own time) is 16--159.191.207.105 (talk) 22:42, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

September 2014[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Captain Falcon. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. You need to apply proper English when editing Wikipedia articles and you need to edit the templates correctly. Adventure Time edits[edit]

Hey, I'm reverting your Adventure Time edits because, while they might turn out to be true, we need reliable, third-party sources to verify the information. Trusting your "gut feeling" or "just knowing" doesn't count.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 03:46, 21 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Responding to your comment[edit]

Hi Sonicgalaxy, what's up? Sergecross73 msg me 02:09, 6 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sonicgalaxy. FYI, for future reference, while I keep getting your messages to me, you're leaving them in the wrong place. You want to leave messages on people's WP:TALKPAGE, not their WP:USERPAGE. So, in our case, you want to leave comments at User talk:Sergecross73, not at User:Sergecross73. And if you're starting up a new conversation, you'll probably want to start a WP:NEWSECTION. Sergecross73 msg me 12:21, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

hey there man i mean Sergecross73

Hi Sonicgalaxy. FYI, I responded to your question about "Private Messages" at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Sergecross73#Message - let me know if you have any other questions. Sergecross73 msg me 13:11, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

hey Sergecross73 hows it going and i edit some stuff on the sonic series and sonic himself.

Sergecross73 you could be right

sorry dude i'm trying to get used to this account can you link me so i can talk to people here?

Hey Sergecross73 is this were I can talk to you and other users?

July 2016[edit]

Hey there. I'm a little concerned about some of your edits recently. One said that Nintendo announced they were revealing the NX in September. Another said that the 3DS will be discontinued on 2016. Both of these things objectively didn't happen. What's going on over there? Sergecross73 msg me 00:42, 28 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

sorry bra but some rumors said that the 3DS will be discontinue in 2017 people said it was a bit old.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Sonicgalaxy27 (talkcontribs)

I don't know what you mean when you say "link"? I only communicate through talk pages anyways. Sergecross73 msg me 01:25, 8 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

no the link about talking to people dude like where?. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sonicgalaxy27 (talkcontribs)

Still not exactly sure what you're asking for, but I guess I'll link you to some general places where you could talk to people:
  • WP:TEAHOUSE - A place for new people to go to ask questions on how to do things.
  • WP:VG - This is where editors discussion editing video game related issues. Its not a place to talk about video games (Don't go there and say "Hey, wasn't Sonic Generations awesome?) but more for help on writing articles themselves (Like "Can someone help me find sources for Sonic Generations)
  • Also, every editor has their own talk page where you can leave them messages. Like User talk:Sergecross73 for me. Sub in anyone's name for my name to talk on their talk page. (So if you wanted to talk to user named "JohnX", you'd go to User talk:John X
  • WP:WIKIPEDIAADVENTURE - Not for talking to people, but something to go through to learn more about how to edit Wikipedia. Sergecross73 msg me 15:24, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
If this isn't the sort of thing you were asking for, then you'll have to be more specific. Sergecross73 msg me 15:24, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

i was just asking dude :-(

A tag has been placed on File:AshSManime.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Mainland Sonic timeline[edit]

I'm not sure I understand your question exactly, but to review.

  1. You keep making this edit to the "mainline Sonic game timeline.
  2. Only main series games go on the timeline.
  3. Sonic Boom and Black Knight are considered spinoffs.
  4. They don't belong on the timeline.

We can't add every single Sonic release on there, or it would be extremely cluttered. So we narrow it down to the main releases. Sergecross73 msg me 01:08, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

oh is that so?. so i guess they are spin offs but your right. i'm not trying to be mean or anything i'm just making a good conversation here. i'm not trying to put bad edits on there i just want to see if they are the main sonic games but apparently its not.

You can always ask the articles talk page, and see what people think, but I'm pretty sure sources generally call them spinoffs. Sergecross73 msg me 01:33, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

well some people think its a type of spin off games of some sonic games but i guess i was wrong. so, i should ash first right or no?

  1. Do not change genre without presenting sources, especially when asked to present a source for proof.
  2. Please follow WP:BRD, rather than just reverting people without even an edit summary.
  3. Comment on WP:USERTALK pages, not WP:USERPAGEs.

You've been here a while now. You should really know better at this point. Sergecross73 msg me 03:09, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

TSSZ is a fansite - that's not a reliable/usable source on Wikipedia. Even worse, it seems their source is just some random guy on Twitter's unofficial translation of some Japanese document. That's even worse. Please, use sources like ones found at WP:VG/S.
If you find a better source, please read up at WP:REFB on how to actually add references to the edits you make. This is very important to learn if you're going to keep going around altering information. Sergecross73 msg me 13:32, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ah ok I understand I will read them later. Maybe your right. I don't think it's a fan site — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sonicgalaxy27 (talkcontribs)

Definitely a fansite. It's nothing but amateur writers writing about Sonic. "TSSZ" stands for "The Super Sonic Zone". Sergecross73 msg me 02:07, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh. I see. So, that's what it stands for?. Ah I see. You know other users can make articles about sonic news and sonic titles for there spear time. There just writers who want to show us what they type in there time of needs. So we can get slot of information from there articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sonicgalaxy27 (talkcontribs)

No, Wikipedia requires references to be written by professional writers and journalists with credentials, not just any old random person who writes on the internet. That's why you've probably seen people arguing on whether or not sources are reliable sources. This would not qualify. Sergecross73 msg me 18:21, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ah I see why exactly my friend. Here is one question. The game got announce on July 22nd 2016 at San Diego house of blues. Care to explain that?.

What about that needs explanation? What exactly do you want explained here? Sergecross73 msg me 13:37, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

About the game got announce in July. Care to explain that to me?.

Okay. Reliable sources like Polygon reported that Sega staff went to San Diego Comic-Con on that date to announce the game. Um...is that the explanation you're looking for...? Sergecross73 msg me 01:36, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That's the situation I'm looking for. so, that's a yes.

...I got that from content and sources already in the article, FYI. I'm not sure where exactly this conversation is going... Sergecross73 msg me 22:33, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh so you already got that from a user here?. Mmm are you sure, because I can tell you have not. Also, you have no idea where this conversation leads too?. Dude, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

I have no idea what the point of this conversation is. I'm going to stop responding because all you keep doing is ask basic questions that are plainly explained with the content and sources already in the article. Sergecross73 msg me 01:57, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You don't get the point of this conversation huh? -_- OK I see how it is.

To be fair, I don't either. All you said was "The game got announce on July 22nd 2016 at San Diego house of blues." and then expected Serge to "explain that" with no other context. If you're trying to argue TSSZ reported on it and thus makes them a reliable source, that's incorrect. In any case, you're deliberately being cryptic and unhelpful. If you're going to act petulant because TSSZ can't be accepted as a reliable source, then you probably shouldn't be editing Wikipedia. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 06:50, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, thank you Thomas. I'm losing patience here, Sonicgalaxy. Its been months and I'm still having to clean up a lot of your questionable edits. And you're still not making any progress on the very basics. You still don't know how to like sign your posts, or even that discussions go on talk pages, not user pages. And now you're playing games with these vague comments. Please, take some time to learn how this website works, and discuss topics clearly and directly. Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 13:44, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

OK guys. I will do it your way. I will take some time on how the website works. I will do it your way. I'm not arguing, I'm just telling you guys. Let's see what happens on March 16th. -_-

If you're suggesting that the "Official Sonic SXSW Panel" will prove some assumption you have, then state it clearly and directly. Stop playing games with the cryptic comments. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 16:34, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. That's what I'm suggesting about. I'm not playing games, I'm just telling you. OK -_-

And what's the assumption that you believe will be proven? You are still not being direct and clear. And even so, what point are you trying to make if that assumption turns out to be true? --ThomasO1989 (talk) 17:03, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Once the Assumption is true by March 16th, you will see what I'm talking about. The reason I bought it up is because someone will edit the article and find out what is the official title for Project Sonic 2017. Trust me. You will see what I mean. Besides, if this Assumption gets announced by one of the SEGA employees, you will see what I meant for all of this.

Still, you refuse to be clear and direct. You are still playing games. You only state "you will see what I mean" and "you will know what I'm talking about" and refuse to answer a simple question. Based on your previous discussion, I believe you're going to argue that "TSSZ knew what the official title was before it was announced, so TSSZ should be considered reliable" which doesn't work around here. Am I wrong? If so, then stop dancing around and say what you mean already. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 17:28, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh is that so?. OK, you are not wrong.

March 2017[edit]

Hi again. Please don't add unsourced release dates, like you did here. I feel like I've had address you about this several times now. If you don't stop making unsourced additions, you're going to receive a short block from editing. Stop doing this. Sergecross73 msg me 17:43, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

what are you talking about?. you said you stop listening to me anymore -_-

I wasn't listening to your games. I'm still observing the unsourced edits you're making. Sergecross73 msg me 01:25, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

i understand it does not make sense.

Then why did you make it to begin with? Sergecross73 msg me 01:25, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know dude. it was just a rumor.

I've already warned you about that before too. Do not add random rumors to Wikipedia. I had to tell you that last year, when you added an unverified rumor that the 3DS was being discontinued in 2016, which was obviously very false.
No more warnings. You told me you were going to make an effort to learn the very basics, yet you're still not using sources, or even signing your signature when leaving comments. Last warning. Add any more rumors, or add any more content without properly adding a source, and you're going to be blocked from editing. Sergecross73 msg me 03:12, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ok fine. i'm done editing. happy?

Not especially - I'd prefer you keep editing, but learn to do it properly. But if you are unable or unwilling to edit properly, with reliable sources, then that's what has to happen. Sergecross73 msg me 12:27, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

So, I can't edit it and make any articles without a proper source right?.

Correct. If you want to add information to Wikipedia, you need to add a reference.
  • Read WP:REFB. Its very straightforward, simple thing to do. Add the content you want to add to the article, but before saving your changes, you basically need to write <ref>___</ref> next to the content, and copy and paste the website link in the blank space between the two "ref" marks.
  • Please read WP:SIGHOW as well. It also extremely simple to sign your posts when talking on talk pages. Literally all you need to do is type out ~~~~ after your comment, and your name shows up automatically after you save your edit. Sergecross73 msg me 19:03, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Use rationales[edit]

Hi Sonicgalaxy27. Just to let you know, I have partially undone your edit here because it reinserted two non-free images into the article when the images did not have non-free use rationales stated on their description pages for why they should be included in that particular article. One of Wikipedia's fundamental principles is that it should be free content that anyone can use, edit, and distribute. Contrary to this, we do allow a small amount of non-free content – such as copyrighted logos and drawings of fictional characters – when it would be detrimental to a reader's understanding of a topic if the content was omitted. Accordingly, we want to use only as much non-free content that we need, which is why I have provisionally removed those images. If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know. Mz7 (talk) 03:19, 17 March 2017 (UTC) ok i see.[reply]

Blocked[edit]

After multiple warnings, including a final warning, about adding unsourced content to article, you made this edit, which was not backed by any sort of source in the article. Since you've continued to disregard even the most simple warning, you are blocked from editing for 1 week.

If you come back after the block and make further unsourced edits, each block for this will get longer, so please take this time off to learn how to add sources. Sergecross73 msg me 20:10, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Block evasion[edit]

Sonicgalaxy27, you are not allowed to create new accounts and edit under them instead while you are blocked from editing. Its called block evasion, and it is not allowed. You were painfully obvious about it too - you created Nintendoguy12 right after you were blocked, and went to make the same, unsourced edit you made that got you your initial block. You then proceeded to leave a comment on the talk page that lacked all sort of basic requirements for writing (like capitalization) and did not sign your post. It is obvious that this account is you.

I've reset your block time to 1 week as of today, since you clearly have not served out the time of your block yet. If we catch you block evading again, your account is going to be blocked for far longer. Stop playing games. Sergecross73 msg me 15:08, 22 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

what exactly are you talking about?. i was gone for like 3 weeks now because i wasn't on here.

Just hours after your block, a new account was created by someone who writes just like you, and went and made the exact same edits you did prior to your block. They also didn't capitalize the beginning of their sentences or sign their comments. I find it hard to believe that's all coincidence.
Regardless, your block has expired. You are free to edit again, though you'll be re-blocked if you're caught making any unsourced additions to articles, and/or if you add rumors as facts again. Sergecross73 msg me 20:56, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

And that someone you mentioned might be?

Nintendoguy12, I already said that above. Sergecross73 msg me 18:30, 1 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

i have no idea who that is dude. i don't know who is that person be. he might be new here for some reason.

Blocked[edit]

For once again making unsourced changes (here, which was also incorrect as well), you are blocked for 1 month, due to so many prior warnings and blocks on this. There's no excuse for this. Add references to your edits. Sergecross73 msg me 13:15, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You were blocked for a month. That aside, your first edit after your block was add information without adding a source. Are you still having a hard time understanding why you keep getting blocked or something? Are you still incapable of adding sources to articles, despite all my explanations and links to help pages explaining it? Please help me understand what's happening here. Sergecross73 msg me 12:11, 26 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I didn't know. And to tell you the truth, I don't know how to add sources.

Okay, there is no excuse for you still not knowing how to do this. If you are unable to add sources, then you are not ready for editing Wikipedia. You are blocked indefinitely - until you demonstrate that you are able to add a reference to Wikipedia. To be clear, you are still able to edit your talk page (this page) even while you are blocked. So, if you ever want to demonstrate to me that you've learned how to add a source to Wikipedia, I'll unblock you. If you don't, you will not be unblocked. If I catch you making another account to try to get around this block, that account will be blocked, and my offer will be off the table. Sergecross73 msg me 16:17, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock deal[edit]

I will unblock if you successfully find and add a source to the statement below:

Sonic Forces will be released on the Nintendo Switch.
References

The rest is up to you. You may ask questions if you like, but WP:REFB should contain everything you need to know. I've explained it on your talk page multiple times now too. Sergecross73 msg me 16:17, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

?[edit]

I'm bored Sonicgalaxy27 (talk) 07:41, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sergecross73[edit]

Dude I learn a few things on what you said and now I finally figured out how to add sources on this site. Sonicgalaxy27 (talk) 07:42, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sergecross73?[edit]

You there? I remember what you said and I finally understand how to add sources. Sonicgalaxy27 (talk) 07:14, 2 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The deal was that you need to prove to me that you understand how to add sources. You need to go to here and add a source to that statement. Otherwise, you will not be unblocked. Sergecross73 msg me 20:10, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to unblock this user by making unblock request[edit]

Hey Serge, i'm going to unblock Sonicgalaxy27. I gonna go make this unblock request. 45.247.174.57 (talk) 01:42, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Sonicgalaxy27 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Persistent addition of unsourced content 45.247.174.57 (talk) 22:43, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. PhilKnight (talk) 22:46, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

PhilKnight, please unblock Sonicgalaxy27. Sergecross73 has not committed offense. 45.247.174.57 (talk) 23:59, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Because Sonicgalaxy has now been blocked four times for adding content to Wikipedia without a source, he will not be unblocked until he demonstrates that he knows how to add a source on Wikipedia. There's no way around this. It's a basic necessity for editing Wikipedia, and Sonicgalaxy often makes edits that require sources. (Especially considering how many time he has added information that has been identified as false or unconfirmed rumors.) Sergecross73 msg me 20:10, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sergecross73[edit]

I understand dude. I guess I will demonstrate for you then. Hold on. Sonicgalaxy27 (talk) 03:54, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sergecross73 (Test)[edit]

yeah

This...was not the request. Are you understanding what you need to do? Sergecross73 msg me 12:28, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sergecross73[edit]

Yeah, I understand what I need to do now. Now I get it now. Sonicgalaxy27 (talk) 08:30, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I finally understand. Sonicgalaxy27 (talk) 08:30, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Great. Then prove it with the example I set up above. Sergecross73 msg me 12:44, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Sergecross73 . Sorry i haven't got on here for a while because i been busy with school and stuff. now i can show you how to add sources. 1

no need to apologize to me dude. I understand your concern. Your a mod, you have the right to banned me until i show you how to add sources.

And another thing, -----> (my blocking title) Yeah, i don't know what your talking about, but, i didn't made that message. i bet someone is hacking my account. if the person do it again, check that person's IP address

  1. That's not how you add a source.
  2. That's not where I asked you place a source.
  3. That's not the source I asked you to provide. You were asked to provide a source that verified that Sonic Forces was coming to Nintendo Switch. You provided a Youtube link to some music or something.
  4. Why in the world would someone try to hack the account of someone who's been blocked for 4 months?
  5. Why would these anonymous IPs keep popping up out of nowhere to defend you? You've spent more of 2017 being blocked than being able to edit. And when you were able to edit, you spent much of your time making minor edits that were reverted for being unsourced or untrue. These IPs are obviously you] or others you're directing to talk on your behalf. Sergecross73 msg me 12:35, 9 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

My blocking[edit]

Serge, I was meaning to drop your block down to 2 weeks. Sonicgalaxy27's block shouldn't be indefinite. 45.247.53.108 (talk) 18:21, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sonicgalaxy, please don't pretend to be someone else. No real Admin would say something like that, it makes no sense in relation to our blocking policy. You need to demonstrate that you have the ability to one of the most basic and fundamentally important parts of editing Wikipedia. Its concerning that its been 3 months, and you still haven't been able to do this one very basic thing I've requested of you. Sergecross73 msg me 20:02, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I apologize for this little bout, on your page. It's appropriate behavior on my part. 45.247.53.108 (talk) 20:10, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
This whole exchange makes zero sense. I don't know what you're trying to say, but my point still stands: If you cannot show you know the very basics, you aren't ready to edit Wikipedia. Either do it, or don't, but stop with the games. I'm one step away from rescinding the offer and removing the ability to comment on your talk page. Sergecross73 msg me 12:57, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page access revoked[edit]

Due to the events explained here, talk page access is revoked. You had almost 4 months to prove that you were able to do a very simple task, and you failed. You are not ready to edit Wikipedia. Additionally, you continued use other accounts or IP addresses to pretend to be other people requesting you be unblocked, despite my requests to stop. You have failed the unblock deal, and it is now no longer an option. You are blocked indefinitely, and you are no longer able to edit your own talk page. Any efforts to create other accounts or edit under IP addresses will be blocked on sight. Sergecross73 msg me 12:42, 9 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
