WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request[edit]

This is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I may have found your page based on your contributions or your link repair user box on your user page. If you are not a member, please consider including your name on the project page. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 23:16, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for helping with the Park golf page! I was getting fed up with what was being written there... Banpei 09:10, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I nearly wept when I saw it. I put the warning templates on the most recent IPs I noted had made bad edits, so now I suppose we wait. --Sopoforic 09:13, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry about my comments on the talk page, but its frustrating to be told you don't know the rules about park golf when you've played for some time. Could you please tell me how I can handle the situation better? I really want people to know what park golf is. Captain Ironspine 22:51, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Making Images[edit]

I use Inkscape for vector graphics and Gimp for raster graphics. For very difficult drawing I write some scripts using AGG graphics library. -- rocchini 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Regarding edit summary on Clueless (House episode)[edit]

It did not say "diagnosis" just {{spoiler}} "possible vandalism" {{end spoiler}} so I assumed it was vandalism. I apologize for the misconception. Try putting spoilers lower on pages as they are easily read at the top.
Blindman shady 17:44, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was up top and right there so didn't know if it was a complete spoiler or just the diagnosis right at the top of the page. In other words, it was easily readable and short so I assumed it was vandalism, I'm a fan of the series, but I haven't seen that episode so I didn't know if that truly was the diagnosis. Again, sorry for the confusion.

NPWatcher approval[edit]

You've been approved to use NPWatcher. Please give me any feature requests or bugs. I'm also happy to help if you have any problems running the program, or any questions :). Before you run the program, please check the changelog on the application page to see if I've made a new release (or just add the main page (here) to your watchlist). Finally, enjoy! Filk music links[edit]

I cut the links back down partially to keep the section from growing again, and partially because they required registration, which is not recommended, per Wikipedia:External links. —tregoweth (talk) 05:52, 4 January 2007 (UTC) [reply]

From Craigower[edit]

Thanks for speedy response this morning Sopoforic I did not realise that my belated cry for help would bring in someone other that Ali K. I got into another knot this morning since Ali responded to my help cry as I was editing to respond to you hence an "edit conflict". My simple way of dealing with this was to delete my response to you and send it to Ali. Thanks again, Craigower 15th. Jan.07 08:30 GMT.

my new page, and thanks for the help.[edit]

It is meant to be a part of the women page, that is the entire goal. Please do not delete this I just spent 4 hours. If I am allowed to spend more than a few hours on it perhaps then it can have clear inclusion criteria. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by AnselmoD79 (talkcontribs) 09:05, 14 January 2007 (UTC). I'm sorry if I offended you in any way, the whole Street Fighter day article is very serious. I know at least 60 or 70 people who do practice it. Is there any way you might recommend to improve the article?

And also, I'm not a bored high schooler looking to start up a stupid holiday, I don't appreciate your reasoning for deletion. At least what your reason said in the prod. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Iambeowulf (talkcontribs) 01:01, 16 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Alright, I apologize for that. I'll see what I can do as far as getting articles relating to it. Thanks for the criticism.

If you're trying to remove that from consideration, just put a note on the bottom "withdrawn by nominator". The G7 won't work there, as the nominations are archived. If you need help with that, just leave a note on my talk page. SkierRMH 03:21, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption[edit]

Well, thank you for your offer. At least i see we share some tastes (well, exceptr for math, that is a nightmare for me). If you want to adopt me, there's no problem. In fact, if you look my colaborations on the spanish Wikipedia (my username is Bolt there) you'll see i mostly write about videogames (ok, those aren't BIG artcles, but, at least i try to write about old games that many people like and me too). By the way, my time zone is UTC-3. Bye! :) --EduardoPeralta 15:27, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, thanks for the adoption... I would like to collaborate in articles regarding videogames... specially if they're old :P. I've been lying around here but I would like to participate on a bigger article (which would be difficult without help). Until today, the biggest thing I wrote was "Galaxian" on the Spanish Wikipedia. Of couse, i can made general correction on miscellaneous articles (without my help, the spanish version of Jaleco would still be unreadable). --EduardoPeralta 22:49, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks![edit]

I wanted to stop by and thank you for helping with the copyright questions. I just needed someone else to say it so that Nateland didn’t think that I was targeting him or anything. Thanks again! I appreciate it! Mike Trausch (fd0man, Talk Page) 08:55, 20 January 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Edit to Chevrolet Camaro[edit]

The edit I made to Chevrolet Camaro was in no way vandalism. If you actually did your research, you would know that Darth Vader was a muscle car buff, and actually uttered those words to describe his 1977 Camaro. I would apreciate if you would undo your change... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.160.39.201 (talk) 22:12, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I incorrectly assumed I could not get the information I wanted in the FAQ so I put up the help request. I checked the FAQ immediately after I put in the help request and immediately afterward tried to delete the help request but it was already answered. Regarding John Gieve[edit]

You have sent me a message about the Edit to John Gieve's page. I am not sure how to message you - so I will put it here.

The information taken off the page was irrelevant tittle tattle cut and pasted from the press - biased and out of proportion to the rest of the article.

Please could you remove it again. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 62.239.159.6 (talk) 11:59, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tommy Atkins[edit]

The primary reason for the existence of the policy (correction it's a guideline) is to stop people uploading the text of treaties etc that might get corrupted by vandalism. The policy is not universally accepted as can be seen from the talk page. In particular I beleive that it is a pointelsss policy with regard to short out of copyright poems and songs etc. There is absolutely no good reason to exclude such texts. Please look at God Save the Queen, Land of Hope and Glory, Lavender_Blue, Greensleeves, Amazing_Grace the Eton Boating Song etc. Jooler 22:28, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
