Genres and welcome[edit]

Hello It looks like you're new here and I'm happy to be the first to post to your talk welcoming you to Wikipedia. Per this post, I'd like to remind you that Wikipedia doesn't publish original research and everything requires a source--these are bedrock policies. You claiming that an album is (e.g.) progressive rock might be true, but it's not verifiable, which is key. A somewhat humorous essay that another user has written on a similar topic is here: Wikipedia:GENREWARRIOR. The easiest way around these disputes is to simply point to a source that says, "X album is Y genre." Please post to my talk or e-mail me if you need further assistance. Thanks. —Justin (koavf)TCM 07:43, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

August 2012[edit]

Hello, I'm Shadowjams. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made to The Black Keys, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Shadowjams (talk) 08:15, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
