A tag has been placed on ManTurf, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:ManTurf. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thanks.

June 2007[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices, as you did with ManTurf. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. ~EnviroboyTalkContribs - 17:42, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:MT-logo.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:MT-logo.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with ManTurf. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. ~EnviroboyTalkContribs - 20:54, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Why are you being such a jerk.[edit]

First of all, let's try to adhere to Wikipedia:Civility; please only judge and editor's work and not the editor him/herself. I'm not being a jerk but I can understand your frustration. No one likes having their work deleted or removed; not even me (and this has happened to me many times).

On my talk page, you pointed out two articles that have a very similar subject to your article. We don't like to keep articles just because similar articles are already in the encyclopedia (see: WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS). As stated there, plenty of articles exist that probably shouldn't. If you think that those articles should be removed, I suggest nominating them for deletion per WP:AFD.

On to your article: The reason I tagged ManTurf for speedy deletion, is its notability is questionable at best. I have linked you to the notability guidelines for online content that your article does not seem to satisfy (criterion a7). I also explained why I tagged the article. You then received warnings for removing the speedy deletion tag from an article you created yourself. This is a bannable offence. You have the ability to contest the deletion by using the {{hangon}} tag and stating why you believe the article subject is notable on its talk page. An admin (I'm not an admin) will then review the article and your comments before deciding if the article will actually be deleted. That's how speedy deletion works. I felt that in this case, notability was not asserted and the article was valid for speedy deletion. That's all. I'm not trying to be hurtful to anyone.

As for your comment about me having "issues with gay people," I would greatly appreciate it if you do not attempt to make inferences to my emotional or personal life based on my actions as a Wikipedia editor. I do my best not to judge people based on what they do here and I always try to assume good faith when reviewing another editor's contributions. I think I have paid you the same courtesy. Thanks. ~EnviroboyTalkContribs - 00:27, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect of Manturf[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Manturf, by Enviroboy, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Manturf is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Manturf, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Manturf itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 15:17, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Show Me Classic[edit]

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Show Me Classic, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but yours may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. --- RockMFR 08:35, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Show Me Classic, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ··coelacan 00:30, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
