Soulé Steam Feed Works[edit]

Hi, Soule (Is this an actual Soule, or do you just work for the company? I'm from the Meridian area, so I was just wondering...)

I saw where you edited the Soulé Steam Feed Works article and added some information. I appreciate your contributions, but I believe they may go against current Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia has rules about conflicts of interest (click on the link for more information), which I believe this is. In some cases, such as yours, where you are adding non-controversial, factual information, the COI can be overlooked, but there is another problem with your edits. You need to add reliable sources to all claims on Wikipedia or else the information may be challenged and removed. I'm going to revert your changes for the moment, but I really hope you'll find some sources to add them in. I wrote the article, so I think it's great that you guys want to help out. If you have any questions, feel free to reply on my talk page. Also, if there are any images that you guys are willing to release under a free copyright license to add to the article, that would be great. Thanks for your contributions, and I hope to hear from you! --Dudemanfellabra (talk) 03:10, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry as well for the long response time; I've been busy with my senior year of undergraduate at USM. Now that finals are over, I have more time to dedicate to the encyclopedia. In a few cases, a COI can be overlooked, provided the material added comes from factual, objective sources and is not done in a promotional manner. The information you added on my talk page seems pretty uncontroversial, but it still needs a reference in order to be included. If you can find one, by all means add in the material. Thanks for your help!--Dudemanfellabra (talk) 18:56, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
