Welcome![edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! Here are cookies to welcome you!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I'm RyRy5, recent changes patroller and part of the welcoming committee. I've been editing here for a while now and I decided to welcome you. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any questions you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} and your question on your user talk page, and someone will show up shortly to answer. Here are a few good links for newcomers like you:

If you think you need a tutor, you should consider adoption by an experienced user. I hope you enjoy editing here and being Wikipedian! By the way, you should always sign your name on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. If you have any questions, see the help pages or you can ask an experienced user like me, on my talkpage. Again, welcome to Wikipedia and I hope you like it here!--RyRy5 Talk to RyRy 04:23, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of J.D. Lyons[edit]

A tag has been placed on J.D. Lyons requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. RyRy5 Talk to RyRy 03:21, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have to reply here at wikipedia. Anyway, you cannot write a bio about yourself. And it is too short.--RyRy5 Talk to RyRy 04:06, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest contesting it. Also, I hope my welcome at the top of this page helps. And, please do not delete your old messages, just continue on. Any questions?--RyRy5 Talk to RyRy 04:23, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry but an admin deleted it. I really like your enthusiasm. I hope you do well on wikipedia! Also, I suggest Adoption and if you want, I can adopt you.--RyRy5 Talk to RyRy 04:26, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 04:20, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tips[edit]

I'll be offline soon. But first, don't forget to sign your comments/messages by typing ~~~~ or click . Also, always comment under 1 section like I did on my recent messages. And feel free to create your own userpage like me. Questions?--RyRy5 Talk to RyRy 04:45, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the adoption will be unofficial. Thanks.--RyRy5 Talk to RyRy 00:16, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
