Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Again

Regarding your latest revert, I would just like to point out that help pages are also designed to have a universal standard for IPA transcription in specific languages on Wikipedia. All I did was conforming one of the many edits by Zorroquinzacara (talk · contribs) to how those transcriptions are supposed to look like. If you really want to apply the verifiability principle to all pronunciations on this project, then you should also mark all his additions as unreferenced. イヴァンスクルージ九十八(会話) 10:43, 29 December 2018 (UTC)

Guy Peterson

Image gallery is needed in article, as articulated in talk section. Unless there is a blanket rule to remove galleries for all architects, starting with Frank Gehry, Santiago Calatrava, and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Architecttype (talk)

There seem to be malicious motivations with your editing. It is also apparent that you have a history of edit-warring. Please advise. Architecttype (talk) 17:38, 29 December 2018 (UTC)

Architecttype I am not sure what you need advice about most, but civility would seem to come high on the list.SovalValtos (talk) 00:04, 30 December 2018 (UTC)

Gwin poeth sbeislyd i chi ...

... gan yr hen Gymro; rwy'n gobeithio eich bod wedi cael gwyliau Nadolig gwych ac rwy'n dymuno 2019 heddychlon i chi!
That is Welsh and translates to:
Spicy hot wine for you from the old Welshman; I hope you have had a great Christmas holiday and I wish you a peaceful 2019!
Thank you for your excellent work on the 'pedia.

Sincerely, Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 11:09, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for your kind words and being educated as to what is the preferred mid morning tipple of old Welshmen. It has gone down well and may lead me to a new allegiance. Best wishes.SovalValtos (talk) 11:25, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
User:Gareth Griffith-Jones User:Tony Holkham There is a keen editor User:IvanScrooge98 one of whose interests is IPA transcriptions but as yet wanders into WP:OR and cannot always find reliable sources for their prefered transcriptions. Can either of you help with suggesting reliable sources for Welsh language such? The particular problem is with place names.SovalValtos (talk) 11:43, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
I have noticed this, but well outside my area of expertise. Gareth Griffith-Jones is a more likely source of inspiration; perhaps ask on WP:WikiProject Wales? HNY, SV. Tony Holkham (Talk) 14:32, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
I have just read your conversation. The editor does appear to think highly of himself and does not take criticism lightly. Nevertheless, I shall start monitoring his contributions. Cheers to you and Tony!
Sincerely, Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 11:28, 4 January 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for helping with the link Tony. IMO the editor has great potential; help with sources could transform some exuberant editing into the meat and drink of WP. Might the National Library Gareth Griffith-Jones be able to help with a source document for IPA transcriptions. They are keen on WP. I have no contacts but maybe you have?SovalValtos (talk) 14:19, 4 January 2019 (UTC)
I ran a quick search at NLW, which may be a start, if I fully understand what it is that's needed, that is. However, little is online. Tony Holkham (Talk) 14:36, 4 January 2019 (UTC)
The need as I see it is for sources for IPA transcriptions, particularly when alternative IPAs have been proposed. There has been discussion of this in the past which I have seen but cannot find to link; the outcome being WP:V rules. If I wanted to look further for sources (which at present I do not) I would ask a human librarian at NLW rather than a computer one.SovalValtos (talk) 22:06, 4 January 2019 (UTC)

WCR Diesel list

The list of diesel locos shows what locos are owned by West Coast Railways, sourcing references for all is impossible.

User:Moylesy98 if that is indeed the case then as WP:5P2 requires verifiability the material should not be included in a Wikipedia article. It might of course be included in a website with different policies. Please revert your replacement [1]. Please also remember to sign with four tildes. SovalValtos (talk) 23:54, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
