Request for addition[edit]

{{editprotected}} Sperm should be added to the list. NERDYSCIENCEDUDE (✉ msgchanges) 22:35, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, testacle. NERDYSCIENCEDUDE (✉ msgchanges) 22:35, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Did you spell it that w ay on purpose? Testicle (with an i) is already on the list. Soap 22:41, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, testacle is a homoglyph of testicle. NERDYSCIENCEDUDE (✉ msgchanges) 22:43, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sperm should have the WAIT_TILL_EDIT parameter, since there are some legitimate uses of the word. NERDYSCIENCEDUDE (✉ msgchanges) 23:02, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed. Soap 23:21, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Filter 102[edit]

Filter 102 in the edit filter seems to be turning up a lot of false positives, such as blocking anyone from creating an account with the name "Penniston". I think that the penis entries in the filter should be removed, and would do it myself, but I rthink they should be added to the blacklist here (so that false positives would at least allow the user to create the account), but it would take an administrator to be able to add them onto the blacklist, so I am making this request here. "Niger" might be a good one to add as well, since there have been some people using the country name to evade the watchword 'nigger' filters, but I leave that up to someone else to decide, as it will probably be 90% false positives. Soap 01:01, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rather than removing it, how about making "pennis" a WAIT_TIL _EDIT? NERDYSCIENCEDUDE (✉ msgchanges) 03:08, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tits[edit]

{{editprotected}} I noticed "titties" is on the list, but what about "tits"? NERDYSCIENCEDUDE (✉ msgchanges) 03:28, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please add poopoo. NERDYSCIENCEDUDE (✉ msgchanges) 04:26, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This page is hilarious. I think perhaps that "tits" might commonly be part of a genuine name? And isn't "poop" already on - in which case "poopoo" should be caught. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 19:58, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
So tits and also erection need to be added. NERDYSCIENCEDUDE (✉ messagechanges) 23:06, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Also, stiffy. It can refer to an erection. NERDYSCIENCEDUDE (✉ messagechanges) 23:08, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Added. —TheDJ (talkcontribs) 14:02, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your mother[edit]

I've noticed a fair number of "Ur/Your_Mother/Madre/Mom/<Insert word for mother>" names slipping through without the bot catching them. I don't know if this is on the blacklist, but it might want to be placed there if it isn't, as I don't see how they can be non-disruptive or non-offensive. Ks0stm If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. 19:35, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I notice it on there now, but it has a wait for edit tag that makes it wait on several offensive "your mom" insult usernames. It might be worth considering removing the wait til edit, because even if a username said "Your mom is amazing" it could be taken with a sexual connotation. Ks0stm If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. 21:51, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. The WAIT_TILL_EDIT should be removed. ~NERDYSCIENCEDUDE (✉ messagechanges) 19:38, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks...I wanted the opinion of someone more involved in all this than myself before putting up the edit request template.

{{editprotected}}

Please remove the WAIT_TILL_EDIT attached to "(your|yer|yur|ur|yo|yo')\s?(mom|mum|mother|motha|mamm?a)". Thanks, Ks0stm If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. 20:58, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How about adding "rape"?[edit]

How about adding "rape", perhaps with a \b in front to sieve out grapes and drapes, and removing "rapes" and "raped"? With the \b in front I would think that there couldnt possibly be that many false positives (and personally I'd rather it just be "rape" with no boundary check at all because there really cant be that many people with grapes or drapes in their username, and a few other foreign names might exist, but none that I can think of offhand). Names like User:Rape-ist seem to be slipping through due to the lack of this check. Soap 23:20, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'll try the word "rape" without the \b. Neither "gape" nor "drape" will be caught, because those words are whilelisted. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 12:28, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Spoofing[edit]

{{editprotected}}

Please add Collectonian and AnmaFinotera to the list, per this ANI. Wikistalker continues making spoof accounts of this account as part of his on-going harassment includes making spoof accounts of User:Collectonian. Both are completely made up words, so there is no legitimate reason anyone would be using them for an account name. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 21:43, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ScratteLover[edit]

{{editprotected}} Any variation of ScratteLover (and maybe even just Scratte) - common name used only by community banned User:Alexcas11 and User:Bambifan101 sockpuppets. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 19:56, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've looked through both Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Bambifan101/Archive and Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Alexcas11/Archive, and I see hardly any names that such an edit would trap, or am I missing something?  Ronhjones  (Talk) 20:42, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
A large number of their socks are not listed explicitly in the SPI page. See Category:Suspected Wikipedia sockpuppets of Alexcas11 and Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of Alexcas11, who is the primary one to use them thus far, however there is fairly good evidence that these two have hooked up off Wiki and are now coordinating their attacks, hence my mentioning both. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 20:54, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WAIT_TILL_EDIT[edit]

I think it should be added to:

Dreck, Homo

I think it should be removed from:

Pubic, Vagina

mechamind90 17:18, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the tag from "Vagina" and "Pubic". I am uncertain on the others. Thoughts from others? TNXMan 17:41, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

On another note: {{editprotected}} Under the pattern "Vagina" - You accidentally left the comma after HOMOGLYPH when it became the only entry in there. mechamind90 05:03, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bambifan/Alexcas socks[edit]

Our two Disney vandals have basically joined forces and are both using various twists of "Spídér's Wéb: A Píg's Tálé" as recent named socks, with most seeming to be Alexcas. Can we get this added to the blacklist (with and without the various grapheme) (see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Bambifan101/Archive, Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Alexcas11/Archive, and their various sock cats for support). -- AnmaFinotera (talk ~ contribs) 00:26, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ALLCAPS[edit]

{{editprotected}} As a username containing ALLCAPS in it is not blockable on its own, WAIT_TILL_EDIT should probably be added when the MYUSERNAMEISINALLCAPS concern is over. mechamind90 02:39, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Change[edit]

{{editprotected}} The string 'cock' shouldn't be an issue if it is followed by 'tail' (in which case it makes Cocktail, which isn't against any rules). I suggest adding (?!tail) at the end of that check, which should prevent the string from matching if 'tail' is present. - EdoDodo talk 23:46, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Or perhaps it should be added to the whitelist... I'm not sure if the negative lookahead I used there is compatible with the bot, so the whitelist is probably the safer choice. - EdoDodo talk 02:27, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Cock needs to stay blacklisted, but certain terms such as cocktail, etc. need to be put on the white list, or something. We don't want editors with names like whitecock, or bigcock running around on WP, now do we? --ANowlin: talk 14:37, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not what I asked. I was asking cocktail to be whitelisted, or the regular expression that matches cock to be changed to changed so that doesn't match cocktail (the whitelist is the better option, but I didn't know it existed when I made the original request to change the regular expression). - EdoDodo talk 15:59, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Going to disable this edit request, and make a new one at the whitelist, since I realize that that is the correct place. - EdoDodo talk 16:37, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please add[edit]

{{editprotected}} Please add "boobs" and "boobies". Thanks. ~NerdyScienceDude 23:11, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Also, I think we should consider just changing it to boob. There's not that many false positives really. Soap 23:21, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Every time someone created an account with "booboo," it would be reported. So it should be "boobs" and not "boob". Either that or add LOW_CONFIDENCE. ~NerdyScienceDude 23:28, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Booboo could be added to the whitelist. I'd be more worried about the Arabic-looking names such as Mehboob and other things like haboob that might occasionally appear in names. But there aren't that many of those type of names. Soap 23:31, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It might still be a good idea to add LOW_CONFIDENCE to the entry if you do decide to change it to "boob". ~NerdyScienceDude 23:39, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{editprotected}} Please add HOMOGLYPH to the boobs entry so the bot catches usernames that have "b00bs" in them. ~NerdyScienceDude 02:43, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
