X-Men (film series)[edit]

Hello. I see that you and another editor appears to be in disagreement over the film titles that are used in the section names in the X-Men (film series) article. I suggest you discuss this on the article's talk page, so that you can present your views and work towards a consensus. -- Tom N (tcncv) talk/contrib 01:31, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. When you patrol new pages, all articles that you have looked at should be marked patrolled, whether you marked them for deletion or deemed them acceptable, unless you are not sure. This saves time and work by informing fellow patrollers of your review of the page so that they do not duplicate efforts. Thank you. Jarkeld (talk) 19:14, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 11:47, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

how does one add a new section to an article?

If you would like to edit a section you need only click on the "edit" button on the right hand of your screen. Regards - 4twenty42o (talk) 01:59, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

i dont want to edit a section i want to add one i thought i was doing it right but i messed it up.

typing two equals signs on each side of text makes it a section title.

==like this== Welcome to Wikipedia, by the way! Specs112 (Talk!) 02:06, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mannuel Castells[edit]

Hey, Mister, What was wrong with my edit? Manny and Emma have been happily married for decades. She really is quite lovely, as I have known them both for about 7 years. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.206.138.33 (talk) 19:44, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WP:NPOV. Articles should be written with neutral point of view, not to promote the subject. Simply saying that he is married is enough for an encyclopedia article. Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, though! Specs112 (Talk!) 19:54, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Remarkably enough[edit]

This edit to Team StarKid‎ wasn't vandalism - it's true! I've patched it up and added a ref, and I'm just dropping a note because I figured you'd want to know about the false positive. Keep up the good antivandal work otherwise! JohnInDC (talk) 14:02, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, wow. I'd never believe that that actually existed if it weren't for the ref. Thanks! Specs112 t c 20:16, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

October 2010[edit]

Hi there, here "User talk:24.232.238.189" speaking. I read your message about my unconstructive intervention in the English Cris Morena article. I am glad I got your attention! What I am not so glad about, is that you left the reference to the so called "Hispanic speaking countries" . "Hispanic" is not a language - Spanish maybe. The fact that Americans refer to everything coming from under the Mexican border as "Hispanic" doesn't make it the name of the language. It is as if I would say that I am writing in Anglican, or that you speak Anglican, or Anglic, or Anglo. So, what if you do some nice editing work and change that into "Spanish"? There may be more strange terms in that article that need editing though...

Good point, I missed that. Specs112 t c 22:48, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Altered speedy deletion rationale: Zack kabot[edit]

Hello Specs112. I am just letting you know that I deleted Zack kabot, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. Salvio Let's talk about it! 15:21, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Abdulla is an autocrat, who doesn't know?[edit]

Also he is the most powerful among autocrats. A better way you could have done is to provide a "citation needed" tag or you yourself changing it into a neutral point or view. So either "neutralize" that statement or give a valid reason to remove that. Else I will revert that revert.122.160.141.4 (talk) 13:32, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Having that as the second sentence of the article is hardly the proper place. Also, later in the article, there is a criticism section that cites a source for his being second worst. So your edit was not only biased/weasel-word-ish but not really necessary. Good attempt to contribute though; welcome to Wikipedia. Specs112 t c 13:42, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

98.69.197.87[edit]

As you can see from my actual userpage, I haven't really even attempted to be an active member of wikipedia for some time (though I do frequent the site daily). Just wanted to say that I've somehow stumbled upon this IP address and its message left by you (from last year mind you), this morning . . . despite initial confusion, all I can say is, what the hey? IP addresses change all the time :) -- Pheon (talk) 11:55, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That's interesting. I knew they change a lot, but the chance that a registered editor would be reassigned to an IP I warned in the past... quite a coincidence. Specs112 t c 15:14, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

my pages[edit]

I appreciate you going on the attack of pages I have been updating. Feel free to delete what ever content you want. I thought this was an open source format for everyone to contribute to as a team and if journalist are what they want it should only be open to journalist. I have no doubt you will delete my pages with in the next couple days. How about instead of critiquing and deleting pages you actually fix them and contribute to them. I would hate to have a person like you on my team. ~~Robertawillard —Preceding undated comment added 17:22, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I appreciate the effort, and maybe if you stuck with it you could become a decent editor, but the fact is you haven't created good articles. Wikipedia has standards to uphold. Specs112 t c 17:26, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your pages are not any better than the ones I have been in the process of creating. I have been doing this for 2 days and don't claim to be an expert. Don't worry I am deleting my wiki account and I am going to start a website where the real facts and truth can be shared. It is obvious you are singling my pages out because you do not want the information shared. I feel bad for you and would never want you on my team. PS. If Wiki has standards to uphold it should not be open source for anyone to use. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Robertawillard (talkcontribs) 17:32, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Robertawillard has left similar messages on my page. It is unfortunate we have not been able to channel her contributions in a Wikipedia way. Rmhermen (talk) 18:36, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Patrolling[edit]

Hi. I agree that Sher Khan (2013 film) looks pretty useless, but we have a consensus that pages should not e taged A1 within one minute. You never can be sure if it will become an article. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 18:26, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh. Sorry. Realistically though, how many that start off with that little content don't die within the first ~15 minutes? I'm kind of new to NPPing (focus was only on vandalism before/also took a wikibreak because of applying to university). Specs112 t c 18:50, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

PROD FYI[edit]

Hi there. I noticed that you recently PRODed the Mic embalta3 article. The article is actually currently at AfD, but you wouldn't have known because the author removed the AfD template on the article. I can't be bothered to sift through the revisions so I've simply restored the last version of the article with the AfD template and left a warning on the author's talk page. I would appreciate your input at the AfD discussion. Regards Basalisk inspect damageberate 15:49, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why do people do that? Removing deletion tags is the WORST. POSSIBLE. THING. (other than some of the other things) Input on the AFD has been given. Specs112 t c 16:00, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Desperation I guess. Looking at his talk page he seems to have made a habit out of it. I'll try not to get too bent out of shape, I suppose there are worse things in the world... Cheers for the input pal. Basalisk inspect damageberate 16:17, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

Hi. Whilst your speedy tagging of The Imperial Hotel Blackpool was warranted, it might be more productive if you at least google serach it to see if it might be notable. Notable articles will always be notable. and I think its the duty of new page patrollers to at least quickly check as a lot of newbies are unaware of how to edit.♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:10, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You're right. Those that are hoaxes, attack pages, duplicates, or contested get taken to AfD. First, non-notable ones should merely be redirected unless no viable anchor can be identified (school district or town/county equivalent article, preferably to the #Elementary schools /#Education section directly), prod if no anchor destination. Schools (even elementary schools) on the National Register of Historic Places, equivalent, or where momentous events are documented (see Emma E. Booker Elementary School) get kept. Ones where edit-warring between schools claiming the title are thankfully exceedingly rare, and disambiguation and redirect is usually best. Dru of Id (talk) 04:08, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

POV on Show Trial article[edit]

You placed a POv tag on the article Show_trial back in June of 2012 [[1]]. I don't see any corresponding discussion on the talk page so I was wondering what your rationale or concern with that article was. I intend to try cleaning up some of the older "abandoned" pov tags that litter parts of the wiki, but since you are not an ip editor I want to reach out to you before I make any changes. Thanks!! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Possible removal of AWB access due to inactivity[edit]

Hello! There is currently a request for approval of a bot to manage the AutoWikiBrowser CheckPage by removing inactive users, among other tasks. You are being contacted because you may qualify as an inactive user of AWB. First, if you have any input on the proposed bot task, please feel free to comment at the BRFA. Should the bot task be approved, your access to AWB may be uncontroversially removed if you do not resume editing within a week's time. This is purely for routine maintenance of the CheckPage, and is not indicative of wrongdoing on your part. You will be able regain access at any time by simply requesting it at WP:PERM/AWB. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
