Proposed deletion of Key to the Highway/Trouble in Mind[edit]

The article Key to the Highway/Trouble in Mind has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This is a demo (rough mix) of a two-song medley that by itself does not meet WP:NSONGS. The two songs, "Key to the Highway" and "Trouble in Mind", are blues standards that have WP articles. If appropriate, LZ's recording can be mentioned in those articles and the Led Zeppelin III medley listing can link to those songs.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. New vector maps![edit]

Hello! Just wanted to notice that the vector versions of the current civil wars maps ,except Iraq and Syria, has been uploaded. As you may know vector images can take much less size than other types of images (.png) and can be zoomed without quality loss. If you want to make any updates please make sure to apply them on new vector maps .
Thank you!:) Ali Zifan 08:02, 21 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:Republican Party presidential primaries results by county, 2016.svg[edit]

Hi, many thanks for your edit on File:Republican Party presidential primaries results by county, 2016.svg, which cleared up a lot of problems with the map (especially Alaska, good stuff). I think the presentation of the territories is a bit questionable, though. The point of the map is to give an overview of the results, not the geography of the territories. It's very hard to distinguish the colour of the smaller islands when they're represented at their actual size, especially at lower resolutions (it also makes Puerto Rico, and Rubio's win there, disproportionately large). Bear in mind also that in delegate terms the small islands pull hugely disproportionate weight—9 delegates for Northern Mariana Islands (where a couple of hundred people voted) compared to 59 for Michigan (where over a million voted!), so it may in fact make sense on its own terms not to present them as tiny. —Nizolan (talk) 07:23, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I wasn't too sure how to portray the territories, but I took the geographical route. Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands are to actual size and distance with each other, as are Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. I made an update, which can be changed. Personally, I would not replace the territory section with the old version (the Northern Mariana Islands from a geographical standpoint was a joke), but change the sizes? Sure.
In reference to the delegate vs. proportionality, take a look at Wisconsin vs. New York. Wyoming is bigger than New York, but Wyoming is the least populous state and smaller than Puerto Rico and Washington D.C. The size of Puerto Rico may make slightly more sense in the Democratic map, since Puerto Rico is not island wide. Personally, I think the way I made it is fine, but I don't have the power to say that's it should say (it's also not "my" file, it is a public file), so if other editors want to change it, by all means, go ahead!—SPESH531Other 07:33, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for explaining. I'll leave it alone for my part, I imagine other people might try to change it though (which is why I wanted to raise it here). —Nizolan (talk) 07:41, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of La La (instrumental)[edit]

The article La La (instrumental) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Recording session leftover released 45 years later – doesn't meet notability requirements of WP:NSONGS; sole reference is an announcement in context of the "deluxe" album; additional non-trivial sources were not found in a Google book search; unlikely ever to grow beyond a stub.
