Don't give up so soon, IMHO

I'm not impressed with any of the arguments presented to keep Lucky Day (Nicola Roberts song). If you really feel like withdrawing the nomination there's zero wrong with that assessment. There's also no reason why you couldn't discuss the quality of the arguments for keeping, which pretty much come out of Wikipedia:Arguments to avoid in deletion discussions. Just letting you know, it's a contact sport. You're allowed to disagree with a majority against you if you are acting in good faith. Good luck, and if you need help, don't be shy. I also have some books and all of the autobiographies (that's how I made 8 of their songs GA). I don't have much memorabilia but I used to collect cds and cassettes, I went completely crazy for a couple of years, I believe I have over 400 items with versions from several countries and promotional cds. Feels good to know that you love Beyonce so much. Well, i a min love with 4 but that's not something extraordinary because i am literally in love with everything Beyonce does. She is equivalent to my breaths and heartbeats for me. YES!!! I am a big stan. You must have heard about Beyhive? That's a group of fierce supported of King B. Lol. 4 is a masterpiece. Adele's 21, in my opinion, is overrated. That album has no variation although i will not hide that i love it immensely. 4 is definitely a critical success. But Beyonce is not promoting it enough to make a commercial hit out of it. I am very sad she is not promoting the album because of this. She has had no hit single and yet, she sold 1.6 million in only 9 weeks. It is quite good till now. In fact, very good. Beyonce says she no longer cares for commercial success. I hope she was joking. If no, she should sit in her home and retire. I wish Beyonce re-becomes the promo queen. I missed those days she got Ellen (presenter of a US talk-show) dancing like this. Genie in a Bottle

Hi Sam, I now you are working on Xtina songs, I don't know which of them particularly, but searching for info for other songs I found info on "Genie in a Bottle", this Allmusic page, most of it is about the writing [1], and this massive article of Sound on Sound, which is totally reliable, and apparently a very important publication (I asked about it here a year ago). The article is very technical, and can be a total pain to condense it, I helped Legolas with the Recording and production section of "Like a Virgin", and he also did something similar on "4 Minutes". There is a lot of info on the recording, production, mixing, and the also mention a lot of the equipment they used to record the song, the bass sound, the drums, microphones, etc.[2] Hope this is usefull for you, let me know if you need any help. Just take your time, when you finish the article take it to the Guild of Copyeditors and/or to a Peer Review, some information that "us fans" find important or relevant, is not really that important or is more appropiate for a fanpage, but our eyes just don't see it :D By the way I saw your work on "Think About It", great to see someone else working on Spice-related articles. Not so long ago we (Novice, Legolas and myself) try to find some info to develop the singles of Northern Star, but the information on the writing, recording, production is so scarse that we didn't manage to complete anything. I wish Mel C or Emma release an autobiography, I mean I don't know why Geri have TWO!!! does she really have a lot to say? Sometimes find her too dramatic and desperate for attention ¬¬

Oh and Novice there is actually a Sound on Sound article about "What Took you so Long?", [3] (perhaps you already knew and was another surprise, lol) it has a lot of great info, on the writing and recording; the problem I think will be the info for the music video, and I don't know if there is enough critical reception about the song. Even for "Never Be the Same Again", there's nothing related to song's BG, Critical reception and music video. I've collected a few and I will be adding that info soon. The guild of copyeditors can be very slow, and it's sometimes not as good as it could be, but it can work very well. I will take a look through the article when I get a chance- it didn't have far to go last time, and, honestly, could stand a chance at FAC if the prose is tightened up a bit. Some stuff I think needs fixing

Ok, I'm doing what I can to help the prose, but there are a few issues.

• Are there multiple bridges in the song, or just one?
• The composition section still needs some cleanup. Right now, it doesn't say very much, but does repeat itself significantly. Could it perhaps be expanded? (I've not touched it at this time.)
• I really can't see the value of the pic of her with Girls Aloud
• The lead says von Doll helped write the song; the infobox also mentions Pentz. Neither of these are mentioned in the "writing and release" section.
• "mixed with Robyn and Yelle" Who or what is "Yelle"?
• In the caption to the music video shot, you write "wearing a 1980s inspired outfit"- is this not the 1970s one mentioned in the prose?

If you can deal with these bits, I'll give it another look through, and then we can look to sending it back to GAC. J Milburn (talk) 23:32, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Thanks so much for this, I've changed the bridges to bridge, removed the Girls Aloud pic, all I could find of Von Doll and Pentz was what was in the album booklet, added a link to Yelle and changed the 80's to 70's. The only thing is the composition section is pretty difficult, I spent ages looking for more info to use but it seems to have a lack across the web. I've restructured the article, but I think it still needs a little bit of copyediting before it's ready for GAN again. I think I was over-optimistic with regards to FAC- that would still be a long way off, but would be possible with a lot of work. GA status, however, is not too far away, I think.
