anno Domini abbreviation[edit]

Your additions of periods to the abbreviation of anno Domini in the Abbey article have been reverted twice, per the Wikipedia manual of style, and as mentioned in the edit summaries of the editor who reverted the changes. Spelling correction[edit]
Please do not correct spelling in articles that are not written in American English like you did at Ireland, Wikipedia allows articles to be written in variations of English which include differences in spelling. Serial commas[edit]

Slow down[edit]
Please learn something about Wikipedia before you make mass changes to articles. A few caveats:
- Articles require ledes (WP:LEDE)
- The serial comma is not required (WP:COMMA, WP:MOS)
- Redlinked terms are those that could potentially become articles; do not remove redlinks unless they are to trivial terms that would never become articles. (WP:REDLINK)
- Punctuation, grammar, and style are governed by the Wikipedia Manual of Style. Please read and heed.

I understand your concern about this article. However, I think this is a very much needed article for Wikipedia. Charles M. Wetherill was an incredible chemist, scientist, and geologist that Wikipedia would be improved by having an article on him. Also, Abraham Lincoln even realized his abilities. Ancestry.com is not a reliable source[edit]

As FoCuSandLeArN explained to you two months ago and MilborneOne explained again two weeks ago, Wikipedia is a resource used by English readers throughout the world. Because of that, articles may be written in British English. Please respect other varieties of English and stop changing the spelling of words from British to U.S. English (e.g., recognise > recognize, favour > favor). Your attack on 32.X is wholly inappropriate, as is your request that they be blocked for being an IP who disagrees with your edits. While we appreciate your creation of Fish Collars, 32.X cleaned it up and removed inappropriate peacock phasing. They have also correctly noted that your changes in national styles of English are against guidelines. Please respect other editors, whether they're editing from IPs or accounts, and please remember that editors are expected to collaborate to produce appropriate encyclopedic content. Acroterion, I very much appreciate constructive criticism as I have said to others who have respectfully told me when I have done something wrong, and have even said to 32.X when he has been kind. I will definitely try to learn Wikipedia's policies and guidelines better. I always want to be learning better as an editor or in anything else. I agree that firmness is important, but I cannot agree with you in saying that 32.X is just being firm when he speaks in CAPS to others and uses rude terms. Maybe as an editor he is good, but I would appreciate if he started trying to follow the Civility guidelines on Wikipedia. Let's try to maturely drop this and move on in all of us learning...
