Lost WikiProject Newsletter - Edition 1[edit]

Hello! Thanks for signing up to the Lost WikiProject newsletter! This is our first edition, and it will from now on be sent on the eighth day of every month. This newsletter includes information about what the WikiProject has been up to and what's in store for our future!
Recent events
The WikiProject has been working at full steam over the past couple of months to improve all Lost-related articles in time for several events.
  • On the 28th of September, 2006, at 03:52 (UTC), the List of Lost episodes vs. Episodes of Lost (season 1) / (season 2) / (season 3) mediation completed, with a unanimous agreement on both sides to incorporate the season articles in to seperate articles. This was extremely successful, and now the articles are seperate and have been entirely cut down on fancruft and original research!
  • On the 3rd of October, 2006, Lost (TV series) was the Today's featured article on the Main Page. All editors involved worked extremely hard to cut down on the inevitable vandalism that occurred, and did an absolutely stellar job, making it a successful feature!
  • All editors were on hand on the 4th of October, 2006 to incorporate the new information regarding the season 3 premiere of Lost, A Tale of Two Cities. This was done quickly and efficiently and once again, everybody did a great job!

And finally ... according to the WikiCharts - Top 100, Lost (TV series) is the seventh most viewed page on the English Wikipedia! [1]

Things to do
Now that season 3 of Lost has started, new episode information will have to be added. You can help the WikiProject by expanding new episode summaries, making sure that original research and fancruft are cut down and that any new episode images are properly licensed and have correct rationales!

You can also help by correcting and expanding the new existing information from the season premiere!

That's all!

Thanks for reading what's going on in the Lost WikiProject! The next newsletter will be sent on Wednesday the 8th of November! Thank you, and namaste!

Notice: An RFC is being conducted here at Talk:Hard diskdrive#RFC on the use of the IEC prefixes. The debate concerns this table which includes columns comparing SI and Binary prefixes to describe storage capacity. We welcome your input

Mark WikiProject Linux as inactive?[edit]

Hi! I was directed to your talk page by the participants list on WikiProject Linux. I've started a discussion whether we can keep it running, or mark it as inactive.– Abuluntu ( talk 06:15, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
