Vineyard etc[edit]

Stage4 - I can see that you are reasonably new at this, and it takes a while to get used to the collaborative nature of the venture. We both stand in different relationship to the subject, and hopefully, this provides a useful lens for the improvement of the article! I am a researcher in British New Church ecclesiology, and have had to study the Vineyard for it's impact on the UK. I am not in day to day touch with what is going on in the Vineyard as you seem to be, so together we should be able to work out who is famous and who is not. It may be, that the is section should be removed anyway, as it is not verifiable using third party references - really, we should be able to point to places where other writers are saying these people are well-known before putting them into the list. Secondly, it's important that the book list does not become bloated by everyone's favourite Vineyard authors, but is kept to those books that give insight into the history and nature of the Vineyard. It may be that there should be new sections on a number of topics with footnotes, rather than just adding new books to the "related books" list. We need to know why they are related, and what they are related to. Probably not unlike what you have to do in your doctorate! (As for me, this is part of my doctorate!) We can't just continue to add unverifiable text using our our own subjective opinion, and keep in good standing with the encyclopedia project. When there is a conflict of opinion, it's best to try and work with people to find out why they have changed something before putting it back up in order to get the full benefit of those who might consider contributing. It would be great to have you as a fellow contributor to this article were we able to work like this. I am going to raise various issues on the talk page related to your contributions, and if you have time to reply, we will raise the standard of the article. Sorry, I put this on your user page instead of your talk page. Hyper3 (talk) 23:26, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
