Corey Mace[edit]

Hi! Can you please see this diff and try and do this when updating player articles so that I don't have to? Thanks!--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 21:37, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So dont put the date and year? just the date?
It depends, if the year that the transaction occured on (in this case, 2009) is mentioned in that section then don't put it. But, if the last year mentioned is 2008, then obviously put 2009 in.--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 22:06, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I only do recent transactions.
Obviously, but what I mean is that transactions have been recorded for say 2008, so if 2008 is listed without any 2009 then the year of the transaction needs to be mentioned but if the last year mentioned says 2009 then you don't need to put it. Does this clear it up?--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 01:09, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Summaries[edit]

Hey again, could you please provide edit summaries for all of your edits? It helps users locate an edit when looking through an article's history. Thanks, Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:59, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you don't need this reminder everytime I reply back, you can just tell me. Eagles 24/7 (C) 04:14, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kennard Cox[edit]

Hey, could you please take a look at this diff for the changes I made on Kennard Cox. And could you please make sure you do them for each updated page? Thanks, Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:40, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I put the who is currently a free agent part in my first edit. I dont know why it kept the Jaguars on there.
According to this, you didn't. Don't worry about it though. Also, remember to sign your name with 4 tildes (~~~~) when editing any talk page on Wikipedia. Thanks, Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:47, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Jason Chery[edit]

So close. You forgot to add a period at the end of the last sentence, and the format of the date of birth was incorrect. When adding the birth date to an infobox, you can use {{birth date and age}}, so if, for instance, Jason Chery was born on May 1, 1985, you can put in the infobox, |birthdate={{birthdate and age|1985|5|1}}, with the year first, then the month, then the day. Hope this helps. Eagles 24/7 (C) 21:08, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Images[edit]

First, you need to find an image that is not copyrighted. Look through Flickr.com and look for images that say "Some rights reserved" instead of "All rights reserved", because "All rights reserved" means it is fully copyrighted and cannot be used anywhere. You can also use pictures you've taken yourself of players. If you have a picture in mind that you would like to upload, but you are unsure if it is copyrighted or not, feel free to send me the link. Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:26, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I know bout Flickr but how do I get the file? Just save as?Stealthninja545 (talk) 02:27, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yep. Can I ask where this picture is located on Flickr? Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:33, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well I have a million in mind but right now its Graig Cooper of the MIAMI HURRICANES=)Stealthninja545 (talk) 02:35, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
So yea, if it says "All rights reserved", you CANNOT upload it to Wikipedia. Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:39, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
F***!, This girl jgirl4858 as all the players images I want to upload but there all Copyrighted. How do you filter "some copyrights" or w/e you said.Stealthninja545 (talk) 02:42, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Haha yea, Flickr can be extremely frustrating when it comes to copyright, since almost all the users fully copyright all their pictures. Anyways, you go to the top and choose "The Commons" under "search" to filter the images. Sadly, there aren't any Graig Cooper pictures that can be uploaded from Flickr to Wikipedia. =( It's a good thing that you have a million player pages you'd like to upload pictures to, though. Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:45, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
In The Commons, Its all these photos that are old as dirt. I cant find anything NFL.Stealthninja545 (talk) 02:56, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind, I think you will just have to look at each picture to see if it has "All rights reserved" or "Some rights reserved". The Commons means that no rights are reserved. It's really annoying this way, but that's Flickr. Eagles 24/7 (C) 03:00, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Time to get the 6 pack of Red BullStealthninja545 (talk) 03:02, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Haha, yep. I would love to upload tons of images to articles, but so far I haven't had much luck. The process is very boring and frustrating, however, if you go to a game or see them or whatever and you take a picture, you can upload it to Wikipedia without the hassle. Eagles 24/7 (C) 03:05, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well I am going to Dolphins-Texans game this weekend. Well my cameras broke. So thats out the window.Stealthninja545 (talk) 03:07, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Aww. Well I've been to two Eagles games this year and both times forgot my camera... Eagles 24/7 (C) 03:11, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, Can I get photos from other sites then put them on flickr and edit them a bit and place a no copyright on them?Stealthninja545 (talk) 03:12, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If that picture from another website is copyrighted (most are), then no, that's called plagarism, which is illegal. Eagles 24/7 (C) 03:13, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, yeah. Dammit. Stealthninja545 (talk) 03:15, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Again, it's a very frustrating thing, and that's why most pictures on here of NFL players are of their backs. Because that's the quality of the pictures from Flickr that are uploadable. Eagles 24/7 (C) 03:16, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You can use this web interface which does all the steps for you except for a few manual things. But to use it you log-in at Commons which is the same username and password for you as it is here. Cheers,--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 03:51, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also Creative Commons on Flickr brings you to specific licensing for images. Only the Attribution and ShareAlike licenses are WikiCompatible however.--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 03:58, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Dawan Landry[edit]

Did you personally take that picture? Eagles 24/7 (C) 04:46, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No.Stealthninja545 (talk) 04:48, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well where did you get it from? Eagles 24/7 (C) 04:49, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Creative Commons-licensed content for commercial use. Is that ok?Stealthninja545 (talk) 04:51, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
FlickrStealthninja545 (talk) 04:52, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You said that is your Flickr account. That means you uploaded it to Flickr. Where did you originally get the picture? Eagles 24/7 (C) 04:55, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I got the Dawan Landry one off Creative Commons on Flickr. Then with Flickr editor that you can crop, darken, lighten pictures etc. I cropped out Haruki Nakamura and sent it to my photostream. It says Some rights reserved with a little guy next to it on the orignal. On Commons here on Wikipedia, it says its OK to put picture with that sooooo yeah. That fine???Stealthninja545 (talk) 05:00, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Phew, yea that's fine. I thought you took an image from Google, uploaded it to your Flickr account and uploaded it here, which is exactly what I told you not to do. Could you upload that picture with just Haruki Nakamura to his article? It's rare that there is a free picture of a player's front. Eagles 24/7 (C) 05:04, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So. Am I becoming a better editor?Stealthninja545 (talk) 05:06, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Of course. Every new thing you learn here makes you a better editor. Eagles 24/7 (C) 05:17, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Haruki Nakamura[edit]

Looks good. The image was too big and looked grainy, so I made it a little smaller. Eagles 24/7 (C) 05:29, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yea, I saw that one. But I noticed that you just got rid of the previous image. When you replace an image with a better or more recent one, be sure to put the old image in the article somehow. See this edit on how I did that with Jackson. Eagles 24/7 (C) 05:35, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well yea, and that user who uploaded it has tons of Eagles pics from a game he went to this year. Eagles 24/7 (C) 05:40, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Vick picture is fine size-wise. And Merry Christmas to you too. Eagles 24/7 (C) 00:17, 25 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The images are good. I saw you edited Mario Haggan. Most of that article was copy and pasted, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. I'll go ahead and clean it up. Eagles 24/7 (C) 03:51, 25 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I fixed the Mario Haggan article. Most of that was random unsourced quotes and some weird editorial-like writing. The article isn't very big, so I made the picture inside the article much smaller. Eagles 24/7 (C) 04:08, 25 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Subpage[edit]

You might want to create a subpage a include every image you uploaded to Wikipedia, like I have. Eagles 24/7 (C) 07:02, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Remember Im not as experienced as you on here. Im just here to let people what happened to athletes and adding images. I have no idea to do that. -_- Stealthninja545 (talk) 07:05, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'll help you out with it if you want. Eagles 24/7 (C) 07:08, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please do. Thank you. Stealthninja545 (talk) 07:09, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, so in order for you to learn, I'll tell you how to do it, then you'll do it. So first, I'll tell you what a subpage is. A subpage is sort of like an additional userpage, except a SUBpage. You can read about subpages here, but I know you won't read that. So what you want to do is create a subpage in your userspace for images. Something like User:Stealthninja545/Images or User:Stealthninja545/Uploads. Pick one that you like or create a different title, it doesn't matter. Then look at what I did here to get your gallery started. If you need additional help, just ask here or on my talk page. Eagles 24/7 (C) 07:13, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to sleep now, but I'll be on from noon-ish to midnight-ish. Have fun looking for all the images you've uploaded! Eagles 24/7 (C) 07:20, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Auto Log out[edit]

Here: Wikipedia automatically logs users out after 30 days. It has something to do with security, and it's very annoying. Eagles 24/7 (C) 03:37, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

...Except that your Dolphins are technically still in it. Eagles 24/7 (C) 00:57, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well yea but we need a lot of teams to lose like about 4 or 5. But Its possible but by a long shot. Sadly...Stealthninja545 (talk) 01:00, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
There's always next year. Eagles 24/7 (C) 01:08, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yup. Thats exactly what I said when I was leaving the actual stadium down the spiral. Hey but the refs called some BS calls. Henne throws a BEAUTIFUL like a Perfect pass to Ginn for a 50 yard TD and call Polite for tripping. I saw the highlight reel when I got home. I DID NOT SEE ANY TRIP! He fell down by himself. Well yea, There is always next year. Stealthninja545 (talk) 01:11, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
They didn't show the game where I live, but my Eagles won a nail-biter. Eagles 24/7 (C) 01:13, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Userpage[edit]

Yea, it looks a lot nicer now. You also seem less immature now that you got rid of the "JETTTTTSSSS SUCCCCCCKKKKK" part. Eagles 24/7 (C) 00:55, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well they do. I HATE them. My biggest and most hated rival of all the sports I watch. I feel like punching every Jets fan I see. Stealthninja545 (talk) 02:29, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, well it still made you seem young and immature. I wanna punch every Cowboys fan I see, but you don't see that on my userpage. =) Eagles 24/7 (C) 21:17, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jenkins and Moore[edit]

You edited Darnell Jenkins to say that he was waived. He was not; he went on the Practice Squad/Injured list. You edited Nick Moore to say the he was signed to the active roster. He was not; he was signed to the practice squad. Please make sure your edits are accurate. Pats1 T/C 03:20, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, Booty was signed by the Houston Texans to a future deal. Dunno where you got Tennessee. Eagles 24/7 (C) 22:40, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

http://www.nfl.com/transactions Stealthninja545 (talk) 22:41, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Generally, the editors here do not use NFL.com's transactions, because they are usually late or inaccurate. See the Texans official website's transactions. The best transactions come from ProFootballWeekly, because they have official ones there. Eagles 24/7 (C) 22:47, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
(ec) NFL.com is usually unreliable when it comes to this, however Pro Football Weekly is the official transaction wire of the NFL and per the release for January 11, it lists Booty as being signed by Houston.--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 22:47, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Also, with Rashod Moulton, if he never played in the 2010 season, don't say that he was a player for the Broncos from 2008-2010, instead say he was a player from 2008-2009. Eagles 24/7 (C) 22:55, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Take your time with these articles. Please don't rush through them, because you will make many mistakes that way. Eagles 24/7 (C) 23:18, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Im trying to do my homework. Like if my dad sees me on my laptop he'll get pissed off and take it away. Stealthninja545 (talk) 23:20, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well how about you finish up your homework (I need to start mine), then finish editing the articles. That way, you will have some incentive to finish your homework quicker so you can go back on Wikipedia. Eagles 24/7 (C) 23:22, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Alright. Itll probably take me 30 minutes. Stealthninja545 (talk) 23:23, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I guess you might've not understood Eagles correctly since the 2010 stuff is still going on. Check out Derrick Doggett he was signed for the 2010 NFL season so his article says 2010-present, at this point there should be no -2010's. All of the years are seasons so people like Brian de la Puente have never been on the Panthers for the 2010 NFL season. Please be careful with this. A future contract means its for 2010, just because the 2010 season has started for certain teams it doesn't mean PS players from 2009 were members for the 2010 season.--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 00:22, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry about the Peterman article, trust me the more work I have to do the less likely I want to do it all as well. Cheers and keep up the (necessary) hard work,--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 00:33, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
One more thing, don't forget to add the last team the player played for to the second paragraph of the lead. Eagles 24/7 (C) 00:40, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Nice analogy, and go ask Giants27 what the purpose of it is, because he nominated it. Personally, I don't really like deleting any NFL pages, notable or not, but policy is policy. Eagles 24/7 (C) 01:30, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The point of AfD is to weed out the non-notable articles per WP:GNG and WP:BIO which determine notability of articles. Jones should've never been re-created since a previous AfD came out as deleted, so WP:CSD G4 should apply but since the creator removed the tag, getting community consensus (which AfD does) would be the best course of action.--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 02:48, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yea, the Akers picture looks really good. Much better than the picture of his back. Eagles 24/7 (C) 20:12, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Player pages[edit]

Reply[edit]

I wouldn't really worry about that, unless you really want to kill yourself doing it. The same thing will happen for the players that become free agents, and it's really a burden to do. I'll do some to help you if you want, though. Eagles 24/7 (C) 06:45, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't hear about that and I'm still in mourning over the loss of the Eagles running back. I really do not want to get off-topic here, since the rules of WP:FORUM forbid it, but you are welcome to e-mail me if you want to talk more about football.
