A tag has been placed on Ali's Amazing Chocolate Cake requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the importance of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Standard2211 (talk) 18:21, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia, thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from Ali's Amazing Chocolate Cake. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
  2. This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willingly to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 18:24, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Ali's Amazing Chocolate Cake. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 18:25, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Chocolate Cake Recipe[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know (as the original deletion requestor) my reasoning behind such an action. Wikipedia is a wonderful resource and tool for the whole of cyberspace, however it is not a place for indiscriminate information or for personal recipes. Remember, that the goal is to creat an encyclopedia and quite obviously this recipe wouldn't make it into any encyclopedia. Feel free to use your User Page for such personal additions. I'm sure there are some out there who would love to try making your cake! If you have any questions, feel free to respond on this page or on my talk page. Cheers! -Achowat (talk) 18:30, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please read our policy on original research as well as our notability guidelines. There are rules and standards to be followed when editing an encyclopedia, and the subject in question doesn't meet those. There are plenty of other spaces on the internet for you to put up your cake recipe, such as Freewebs and Geocites, for free. You could even make your own blog and put it up there. But it does not belong here. -waywardhorizons (talk) 18:40, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I see that you wrote "i have the right to use this webpage to share things like recipies with others". Well, no you don't. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a free web host. You may not use Wikipedia pages to host pages for your own use. JamesBWatson (talk) 16:47, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
