Request reason:

Um, not sure why my accoutn has been blocked. This is mine but the other one, marlin, is my dad. Thought someone hacked my wifi till I asked. That and check the history, I was not editing the same thing he was. So not sure why you think we were cross editing socks? Still-Jim (talk) 23:46, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It seems pretty clear from the SPI that you were found to be using the same IP, which your above comment doesn't dispute. And I am willing to accept, on other grounds, that there are two different people behind the respective keyboards. But the policy applies just as clearly to meatpuppeting as well as sockpuppeting, and as noted at the SPI it did seem rather suspicious that a brand new account on the same one as one that hadn't been used in two years both started editing an article at the center of a major real-life controversy, in similar ways. — Daniel Case (talk) 02:22, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
