You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Although you have identified problems with the Poppea page, it is classified as a Featured Article, which means that wholesale changes will be resisted, probably quite fervently... To guide you early I very much recommend you get the advice of User:Voceditenore, who is very experienced, and has a degree of patience quite rare around here.
