Nice start on your draft. I recommend that you take a look at the Editing Biographies handout (I've linked the pdf version of it here).
- The first section in the article, the lead, needs to summarize the main points of the article. It should start with something like
Jack Spadaro (b. 19xx) is a ..., who is known for ...
Make sure you state very early on what he does and what makes him notable.
- Use a more or less standard pattern of sections, as outlined in the handout.
- You need to include properly-formatted inline citations. A list of references at the end of the article isn't sufficient - each statement in the article needs to be directly connected with the supporting source. Revisit the Evaluating Articles and Sources training module if you need more help with citations.
- Don't link out of Wikipedia in the body of the article, although you can link out in the External links section, and in your references. Instead, you should include links to other Wikipedia articles - for examples, the Mine Safety and Health Administration article. You should link any term that the average reader is likely to be unfamiliar with.
- Avoid terms like "made it his livelihood" and "fights to keep". Use simpler, more direct wording.
- Remember that Wikipedia is an international encyclopedia. When you say "one of the worst spills the nation has seen", you need to specify which nation you mean. Don't assume that every reader knows what country Kentucky is in. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:20, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
