License tagging for Image:Sleepingbobcat.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sleepingbobcat.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --OrphanBot 18:12, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Walker, Texas Ranger.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Walker, Texas Ranger.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. License tagging for Image:Souljaboycrankthat.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Souljaboycrankthat.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 02:07, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Peguin.gif)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Peguin.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 22:16, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

February 2008[edit]

Hi, the recent edit you made to Soulja Boy has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. Image:Walker, Texas Ranger.JPG listed for deletion[edit]

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Walker, Texas Ranger.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. MalwareSmarts (talk) 02:04, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Template:Atmosphere portal/Featured article/June 2006 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 04:28, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for filling the list for second season but you should have more sense and know that you cannot take text directly, word for word, from another website and copy/paste it to Wikipedia as you have done. It is a complete violation of copyright law and a policy violation, plus it just shows you're being lazy. You also have no reliable dates because dates the episodes will air were not given anywhere - you just assumed them. For instance, you have the Chupacabra episode listed for July 16, 2008. If you actually checked the History Channel schedule page, you would have found they aren't airing a new episode of Monster Quest that day. Another show is in the time slot. When they will actually air it is anyone's guess but you shouldn't list it until you know for sure. So get your facts straight before you edit and don't steal from other webpages. Thanks. Cyberia23 (talk) 06:59, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also FYI, I have to say that even History Channel's website isn't all that reliable when it comes to scheduling. They've even changed the names of the episodes - for instance "Unidentified Flying Creatures" the episode about rods from 1st season first appeared as "Creatures from the 4th Dimension". The week it aired they changed it. They also had some inaccurate or completely false info listed under episode synopsis before. These are reasons I prefer to actually list an episode when it airs, not ahead of time. I guarantee things will change. Cyberia23 (talk) 07:09, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:NexusLane.JPG[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:NexusLane.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 00:22, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
