A tag has been placed on Lambert ofoegbu, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Information icon Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Lambert I. Ofoegbu. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this: |image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]], instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do: |image=SomeImage.jpg. There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recetly added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Comments on what "promotional" means[edit]

I have come here because, judging from what you have said on various talk pages, you don't seem to understand why the article which you have repeatedly created is regarded as promotional, and I hope I may be able to help clarify the issues for you.

Firstly, let us deal with some of the reasons you have given for thinking the article is not promotional. You have said "This page is not unambiguously promotional, because I added this article myself and i can assure wikipedia that all the references and links are in other and not violating any rule", but being "promotional" does not mean that there are references and links with problems, it means that the article was written as though its purpose was to enhance the reputation of its subject, or to encourage its readers to think well of him. Likewise, you have said "This page is not unambiguously promotional, because All information added here is real and factual and does not violate any copyright of wikipedia", but being promotional is nothing to do with not being "real and factual" or with violating copyright.

Secondly, let us look at some of the writing you have posted. You have said that Lambert Ofoegbu is "a trailblazer" and that he is "well-respected", and referred to "his remarkable professional journey". The article also very largely consisted of a list of what you evidently think are his achievements, described in ways that are clearly intended to encourage us to admire him. That is not neutral reporting: it is laudatory, and clearly intended to promote his reputation. If you wish to tell the world that Lambert Ofoegbu is a wonderful person whom we should all admire, then you are perfectly free to do so, but Wikipedia is not the place to do it, because that is not the sort of thing that Wikipedia is for. Please, please read MOS:SURNAME and edit this article accordingly, because your repeated noncompliance is not helping your ability to gain acceptance for the article. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, a formal type of publication. Wikipedia isn't on a first-name basis with its article subjects, and the Wikipedia Manual of Style makes clear that first-name references aren't appropriate in this setting like they might be in, for example, a blog. All of your references to "Lambert" by his first name should be to "Ofoegbu". I can't promise you that this will help the article. I agree with other people that you don't seem to understand that describing a person in the terms you've described Ofoegbu isn't neutral and isn't appropriate for an encyclopedia article. Please, at a minimum, read this WP:MOS provision, though... Best regards - Julietdeltalima (talk) 00:50, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

As another comment I intend to be helpful: What in the world is "Brain Tithing"? For elementary starters, please read WP:SECTIONCAPS; Wikipedia's section headings are standardized to be in Sentence case, not Title Case (to give you examples of those styles). But... honestly, what is this? We don't use academic or professional jargon here. Please read several articles about living people and look at how they're written and what their neutral tone seems like. I understand that some people feel that it's not polite not to refer to people whom one views as superiors with laudatory terms, but that's not how Wikipedia is written. Please read WP:PEACOCK as a starting point to understand how this website talks about people. Thanks. - Julietdeltalima (talk) 00:56, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please use inline citations or footnotes[edit]

See help:referencing for beginners. References should be inline with their text.[1] Best to use {{cite web}} and such. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 01:34, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

So why don't you remove it yourself, Haven't I done all you requested of me to do? I have been listening to all you guys and effecting the correction and yet no one has replied and told me the article is ready. Please stop tormenting me with all these multi corretions of you guys are not ready to approve them when they are completed

  • You need to demonstrate the subject is a notable topic for an encyclopaedia. That is something considerably more than being a project manager, a member or office bearer of a golf club, a trade association, etc. It requires verifiable reliable 3rd party coverage which is specifically discussing the person. Is it because he is black, or an African? If I were to write about a white man, living in Washington DC, and has five kids, would Wikipedia give me all these headaches and denials? I am writing this with frustration, and I don't mind if you delete my account from Wikipedia too. go through my talk pages and see list of corrections I have made from different editors, and yet its not worthy to be on Wikipedia. I can list articles that have just one link and yet its on Wikipedia, persons that have no link atall and yet its on Wikipedia. Please send me a reply ASAP let me know my next step to take

thanks

Taopheek Babayeju moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Taopheek Babayeju, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. scope_creepTalk 14:05, 12 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
